Whether it was when you were younger or whatever you can remember. What was the dumbest punishment you have gotten.
For me my room was messy and they my parents took off my bedroom door.

That's not dumb. That's smart. You like your privacy so your parents found a good way to punish you for letting your room in such a mess.
They look like good parents. They try to find smart ways for you to hear them with out resolving to shouting all day and violence.

I was told I couldn't see one of my friends anymore because she was my source of pot o_o I don't know how my mom knew all of that just from finding the roach.

Can't think of anything from when I was a wee lad.
But during one of the boot camp-esque infantry exercises in the army, we didn't manage to put up the tent fast enough, so we had to take it all down and do it again. Things do tend to get more problematic at five in the night when you're cold, hungry, tired and grumpy.
One other time, I had to clean out dog vomit from a car. Splendid.

Had to put all my favorite magazines and books in the garage as punishment, can't remember what I did to get in trouble in the first place....

but all the magazines froze with winter and then molded and were thrown away. I got so mad I cursed out my guardian..then I got beaten.

Favourite? Why? the trick is to pretend your favourite whatever is not really your favourite. Alternatively, appear to dread a certain punishment that you don't really care for, as to fool your parents/guardians into giving you that punishment.
I remember I used to do that. What a clever little chessmaster bitch I was.

Suspension from school. "You skipped half the school year, go home and play counterstrike until you feel bad about yourself."

I asked for another afterwards, but that was pushing it.

Yup. I always figured if I was careless enough to get caught, then I deserved what came next.

What? Did you think I was going to say something about learning morals and being a good kid? Pfft.

It was Soviet Ukraine, we didnt have a lot of options LOL so I only had one kind of magazine and a few books and I was just too dumb to pretend I didn't like them.

I never really got punished. Too boring for it mostly. In fact, I was the one in charge of house-sitting and watching after my (badly behaved) sister, who is 4 years older than me. My silence could be bought though. My mom and sister often got into bidding wars.

I got my internet taken away for some reason I honestly can't remember, but I had to work on a school project that required pictures from the internet. My project took a long time to complete. :)

When I was in grade school, one of the teachers gave me detention because I said "hell." Not towards anyone, either. I just said, I was running like hell because I was a foolish child.
And another was I decided that cheese was the best food ever made, so I brought a small block up to my room and my dad figured it out and literally broke my door down. D:

I was spending too much time on the computer and watching TV so my parents bought me a puppy.

"Leave your room for a change and play with your puppy!"

And that's how I acquire free stuff. Mom and Dad got me a car so I can drive around, but I don't like to drive; They bought me a phone to talk with friends but I hate cell phones; And now I gots me a puppy. I wonder what they'll think of next. :D

And why exactly was this punishment dump? Taking the Internet from a kid this days is certainly something that's gone a take there attention.

because of the timing, the punishment became dumb. normally it would have been excellent.

Oh wait. There was that time in 4th grade when I kicked the flowers of a boy because it seemed fun to do it. I had to copy a text and that was it. Did not really consider it a punishment, I liked to copy.

As for the rest... Yes, I'm too well behaved. My parents consider my own mistakes to be the punishment itself.

gah shit, I just got back from /b/, and it feels like my brain died while eating itself. I guess you could call that a punishment.

okay, so this happened to me just on Friday...sorry it's a bit long.

Okay so I went to work on Friday at 2:30pm, my boss pulls me aside to her office and she hands me this paper that says that Im getting a written up warning that I haven't been doing my work on the night shifts that I have been working. WHICH IS COMPLETE BULLSHIT. I tried to explain my side of the argument that on the night shift we all work together so I don't understand how 'the work is not getting done', well apparently someone who I thought was my friend had told our boss that Im not being more
'go getting' and answering all the call lights and that Im not more of the leader and taking charge of everything while she just follows me around..WTF!

yeah so my punishment:
dropped down to two days a week at work.

I am so pissed.
---
and another one this was a long time ago, I think maybe middle school but I had forgotten my book at home so the teacher gave me a detention.

I got grounded for a year from TV, my SNES, having friends over, going to friends, going to the pool and well basically anything that was fun. Just because my little sister decided to dive head first through a door I was slamming shut and it knocked her out cold.

On a side note the only thing I was allowed to do was homework and read, and by the time the year was over I went from not liking to read to doing nothing but reading even after my grounding was up. So maybe it was a good thing.

I honestly don't think I've ever been subject to a dumb form of punishment. Any repercussions were usually deserved and they seemed to be well thought out.

I've even avoided some well deserved punishments. Didn't get anything for ISS, or for reckless driving (92 in a 65). I think by this point though I was able to learn from my own mistakes.

I told one of my teachers that his class was stupid and that I was leaving. I started walking out and on my way out my teacher yelled at me to get out of his class...

I found that stupid because I was already at the door about to leave.

I wish i knew what was the dumbest punishment i received. D: Maybe when my parents found out i did something wrong with my body, they just kept nagging. because it seems that my punishment started like 1/2 before and activated in an hour. Super, Straight, and Long Allergies Attacks. ><

And i still really wish i knew what was a punishment i had. D:

Fuckin' Blasphemy!
haha, I'd be down to see anyone not be punished by their parents.
Unless you're spoiled or your parents are robots, that might be something...

As for me, dumbest punishment would be, getting punched by my dad for not giving a gift to my neighbors who weren't even home at the time.

Locking my computer. My parents should know better. Eventually they asked me how they can refrain me from using it as I always breach/bypass their passwords and shit like that, so I said they couldn't.

hahaha I remember something. It was like 7th grade or..yeah whatever. We were at the pc room on school, we basically did nothing. Just talking, and so on. Then suddenly suddenly one start to laughing, and I was like what is it. But I couldn't see it because a teacher came in. She also asked what it was, but no answer. After than, we were dismissed. Now listen to this, what kind of bullshit is this.

My teacher tells me and the other people that we have to have a meeting, and she didn't tell us what it was about. Now, when all of us was together she told us.
Apparently the guy that was laughing was searching gay porn pics, and we were also to blame since we was in that room. So the teachers called our parents, and gave us a letter home because of it. I mean, WTF?? I am 12 years old, I am sitting in a computer room, and suddenly I get yelled at because some guy is searching gay porn?? Do you know how embarrassing it is to see your father in the eye`s when he thinks your gay?=P Oh well, good times.

ps : He is not gay, believe it or not ^_^

back in elementary I had to write down 30 pages of a phone book cause I talked to much in class.

When my mom found out she went berserk and forced my teacher to make me a better punishment cause this one was to useless.

I'll never forget that guy's face.
rewriting 10 textbook pages diddnt matter after that.
his expression kept me happy all day =D
