I took that as a sign I don't mix very well with fanboys/fangirls. Unfortunately every club involving entertainment media has at least one So I steer well clear What the hell man....Naruto is actually really good, you just have to give it a chance, I had the same attitude as you before I watched it, and now I'm completely hooked, can't get enough of that shit. I haven't the patience to watch it. I like my anime short, sharp and snappy. Asides from Yugioh and Pokemon, two shows that practically defined my childhood Well yeah, it's shit actually, dropped after the first 30 eps, but man...I was expecting a heated discussion to break out, ah so much for hoping to get rid of my boredom. |

Clubs in denmark are... well... non-existing... in schools. Schools are for studying only... But there's a "club/group/organisation" in the city i live in... some of the members are dorks, yea. But they tend to have more friend-potential than other people... |

Have Naruto listed in your favorites as a 10/10 while also expressing how much you love it in other areas of the forum. A reaction is almost guaranteed. |

Yep, was in my high school's anime club all four years, was president of it my senior year. We watched all types of anime from Death Note to Fruits Basket to Genshiken to whatever the Presidents felt like. We also had gaming tenements, especially Super Smash Bros Melee, and then on holidays/the end of the year we had pizza parties. There was also a manga library we could rent from that ones this one guy's massive manga collection he kept in the club room. The reason I liked it most was that all my friends were in it too so it was a place we could hang out at on Tuesdays. |

I went to the one at my college. It was cool for a while when we had a good staff who tried to find unlicensed and obscure new stuff for us to watch. I got to see a whole bunch of stuff I never would have watched otherwise. Then they graduated and and it got taken over by people who didn't much about anime and wanted to watch old stuff I've seen a billion times already, so I stopped going. Contrary to what most people have been saying, my college's club was filled with a much of normal non-otaku-looking people of both sexes and was pretty cool because they gave us a nice lecture hall with theater style seating a huge screen and projector you could play any type of multimedia on. |

I haven't met anyone who watches anime IRL. Well, there's a Narutard kid walking around with headbands, he bought himself Sharingan contact lenses from somewhere, and says "Dattebayo" all the time, even though he isn't speaking Japanese (Needless to say that is all he watches). Oh, and who can forget the 2 ugly cosplaying twins that sit together and read manga all day. So, yeah, me meeting any anime fan who isn't a freak is nothing but a pipe dream. |

I go to one at my school. Not really any weeaboos per say. Though this is this one guy in there who would always watch really ecchi anime on one of the computers and the teacher doesn't even know about it. So done |

At my school (Name of school withheld) years ago, I went to a few meetings in the beginning of the year. Some the anime they showed was WAY different than how I grew up with it. Never got connected to it, and left the club. Wasn't that great. Do I regret? Nope. |

SlothieSloth said: RockerXD said: SlothieSloth said: What's a weaboo? Human scum that makes anyone who watches anime look bad. I see, not but really I don't know. Are they wannabe otakus? This WEEABOO A weeaboo is someone who loves to think that they can fit in with other Asians. Preferably, Japanese. What they don't understand is how fucked up they would look if they where to enter a normal Asian school or even walking the streets of an Asian city. Another aspect to weeaboo is the way they dress. They think adding random/colorful pieces of fabric and accessories is totally awesome. The only people who would think that it is would be another weeaboo. Another aspect is the way they use Japanese words. Examples like "Desu", "Kawaii", "Sugoi" and especially "Baka". There are other ones but they like to use them in their daily life and sometimes don't even know shit of the real meaning. To makes things short, a weeaboo is just a JAPANESE WANNABE but fail really badly at it. Otaku An otaku can be a lot worse than any weeaboo, considering they exist in both American and Asian cultures. Otaku is a word used to describe people with obsessions. Most of these obsessions are related to anime, manga, toys, hentai and characters portrayed in movies, cartoons and music. These kind of people will always have some kind of way to show their likes. They will often spend their money on items that have their favorite character on it or anything that may resemble them in anyway. Some of these obsessions get really out of control and end up with a person who will date a pillow with a picture of their favorite anime character on it. Some have even went to the extreme to be able to legally marry an anime character. To summarize it all, an otaku is SOMEONE WITH AN OBSESSION but is mainly portrayed to those with the obsession of anime. Copy and pasted from a different website because i am to lazy to type it myself. Put some pictures in there. |

Was never in a club nor do I think we had one at our school. I do remember that there was a group of kids that always hung out in the Senior Quad and ironically no other seniors stayed there when they were there. They were loud and boisterous, always jumping off shit, chasing each other, poking each other, and making faces at each other. They also adopted anime mannerisms (if you understand what I mean) and would semi-cosplay (Naruto headbands, random sleeves, fingerless gloves, etc.) everday. I guess they are one reson why I avoided anime in high school. Also remember this one girl who had a Sasuke (from Naruto) hairstyle and always wore a blue sweatshirt Almost exactly like this. Anyways that's my "story" about anime clubs/people in high school. |

Anime club sounds good, be glad it wasn't called "Otaku Club" by your lesbian goth feminist classmate with purple hair. Trauma aside Always worth taking a chance or two. I mean even though I didn't join the otaku club in high school, I'll admit that the two meetings I did go to were a fountain of knowledge for anime and most people there got along. |
