| Well, I watched the first 15 minutes because a guy told me to do it, my brother the same, and more guys so I took a look and I didn't liked it. I don't hate it. But I had the same feeling like playing as a girl in Tera (I'm not talking about the genre of the character, I mean the movements). I can't describe this feel, but it was more or less the same. However, I wanna read the manga because I'm expecting something more. Some people said me the manga is better. |

| If people hate an ecchi for having fanservice then they shouldn't be watching ecchi! If they don't like the show for more logical reasons then I'm ok, but hating it for the fanservice? GTFO |

| I enjoyed watching HOTD for the fan service IMO. In no way is this show anything but zombies, blood, and titties. I don't think I've seen this show receiving any hate. |

| I love ecchi shows, and I thought the fan service in this series was ridiculous. It didn't enhance the show, but actually detracted from it. It's just a matter of approach, I guess. |

GTFO What many seems to deem problematic with the fan service in HOTD is that it interfered with the story and character development, hence why some people often point fingers at the fan service specifically. I consider this to be a valid and logical reason since they're not hating the fact that an ecchi show has fanservice, they're hating that it got too much in the way. |
| I know right.. I put off watching HOTD for 3 years because it seemed to get a bad rep. But coming into it I saw great animation (as expected of Madhouse), and actually a decent zombie apocalypse kind of story. It was tense at some points in the beginning. And the fan service wasn't excessive. If you think of any hollywood zombie movie most of them have random sex scenes just for the sake of it. So it feels normal in this kind of anime. Of course I would have liked some more character development that could have raised it to a 8/10 but to me it was a solid 7 overall. |

| I loved the show. Bought even the manga (1st volume, I'm getting all of them) <3 Loved the ecchi too. I guess it depends on the taste. I personally took a liking to the characters, the plot, the action and the Awesome soundtrack (each episode having it's own ED). It made me want a zombie apocalypse to see if I'll behave as I think I will (like Takashi :D ) However the author dropping this series makes me sad :( |
