Since a poll option hosting all composers of the world since time began is literally impossible, a simple response would do.

My favorite composer of all time is Beethoven. I love all of his Symphonies and Piano Concertos. It's peaceful yet powerful at the same time.

I also enjoy Bach, Chopin, Mozart, and Handel to (last) name a few.

I like Beethoven very much as well. He is able to convey emotions so well in his symphonies and there is always something interesting happening in them.
Other than him I also like Chopin very much, the complexity and nature had me hooked right from the start.

I think it's impossible to have a favorite composer since Classical music is very versatile.

Personally, I enjoy classical music although my knowledge is fairly limited, part of the reason why I joined this club.
I like Bach above all the other classical composers. I've recently enjoyed a live show of VIKTOR KOPATCHINSKY and even though he only played once or twice work of his own, and interpreted mostly Bach and other composers, he plays such an unknown instrument and so well I couldn't but be mesmerized by his music. Give it a try:

I like Mozart for his light/flighty, child-like style. But Beethoven has variety and I think his music can express emotion and ambiance well. :)

Yes! Tchaikovsky and other russian composers are AWSOME! Rachmaninoff's concerti, stravinsky's firebird and petrushka - Masterpieces!

I knew some dude who immigrated from Russia to Canada, he came without much money, but he came with 3 grand pianos! I say he's AWSOME!

I find there are only a few composers whose life work seems impressive in its entirety. In that category Bartok Bela comes first for me. Then there would also be Shostakovitch and Schubert.

Not many have mentioned Gustav Mahler. A bit surprised at this.

Also, I like Franz Liszt, though he's egoistic and from the Romantic period.

Vivaldi, with Korsakov at a close second.

Vivaldi's style matches my own in many ways. It's very proud and doesn't go stagnant, even during the quiet phrases. Same as me, I feel he's trying to make people know of it's presence and keep his listeners interested.
Korsakov changes the style in his pieces a lot. Such as in his Trombone Concerto, thee will be a random legato phrase in the middle of the first movement's march style. Very difficult if you can't change your style easily, but very fun to play.

~Know what your afraid of, and conquer it.
If you let your fear rule you, what kind of life do you have?
There's no reason to be afraid of anything.
Know what dangers lurk, but don't be fearful of them.
Be cautious, not afraid.
But know when it is right to be cautious.
Fear is the leash that keeps the dog from running in the field.
Break that freaking leash, already.~

Bach and Vivaldi from the baroque era. Liszt and Busoni for the piano. Mendelssohn, Beethoven, Brahms and Sibelius for symphonic and concerto music. I also like minimal composers like (early) Glass and Reich.

I'd like there's the Mendelssohn persona on MAL, so i would add him in my favorites.

Definitely too many good composers to list. You can't go wrong with Mozart, J.S. Bach, and Beethoven though. For piano, I love Debussy and Chopin (mainly his nocturnes). For orchestra and chamber groups, Mahler's symphonies and Villa-Lobos' Bachianas Brasilieras are two of my favorites. Also Stravinsky and Tchaikovsky have great ballet music.
