So I was wondering (I have weird thoughts sometimes...) while studying my chemistry. I already had the discussion with a fellow student and we concluded we could argue hours about this.
Furthermore, this this Internet, and a forum, we basically complain and argue about everything and anything.
I just realised my first sentence means no sense at all, well, who cares.
What is you favourite chemical element ? God dammit let me write favourite how I fucking want !!
Of course, as chemists, we will give explanations about our chosen one and why it's the best while others are the worst.

OP will start :
Hydrogen

Atomic number 1
Most abundant element
Without it, there's nothing
Acid-base reactions

Here is the periodic table (big ass picture)

I'd say carbon.

It is on of the most versatile solid elements, it can be made into extremely tiny balls, tubes, fabric, and is incredibly strong when bonded right, but sometimes it can be extremely brittle. Such harsh juxtaposition is beatiful <3

STAHP REMINDING ME ABOUT CHEMISTRY

QFT, one year later

probably carbon
cause organic chemistry was the unit that i did well on in ap chem
in biology tho carbon does a lot
w/o hydrogen i don't think we'd have a fiery sun so that comes in second I guess for me.

You mean liquid at room temperature. All elements can be liquid

Except theres no need to stress "it's liquid because it's at room temperature". By default people will know you're talking about it in it's liquid state. Like saying 'nitrogen' alone, people by default assumes it's a gas, and when you want to talk about it's liquid state you say liquid nitrogen.

Alright, let me give this a try.

So argon walks into a bar and sits down at the counter, and the bartender says, "We don't serve noble gases around these parts. Get outta here!"

Argon doesn't react.

*BA DUM TSS*

Anyway, my favorite element would probably be Calcium (I like how it makes your bones strong) or Rhenium (cool name).
And what if all love is an act of bravery?

#12, son.

Magnesium can save your life. It can burn in almost any condition (including under water) so if you need a fire started, it can get the job done. It can also generate other key elements (Hydrogen, Carbon etc) depending on the environment in which it is burned or immersed.
