I swear, I hear about this all the time.

"Resort" to this.. as if it's a bad thing.

I see nothing wrong with improving your physical appearance. They all look a hell of a lot better.

Probably being fake and insecure... Otherwise I don't see any other problems.

Oh, did I tell you that this shit costs a lot, can kill you, could scar you and doing it if unnecessary means you're really shallow and cheap too?

Cheap as personality. But I guess that's a synonym to shallow...

Why are these problems?

Oh my, you aren't using the appeal to nature, are you now?

You can actually get arrested/sued if you do trick people in believing you are somebody else, even if it's just a plastic surgery. Appeal to nature would fit if I would actually claim that all unnatural stuff is worse than natural or that I'm only focusing on the "unnatural" part. So I'm calling this an argument from fallacy.

For example, plastic surgeries now simply suck, as I mentioned before, the botox effect.

Don't forget we're creatures that look for good genes AKA good looks, but those looks you made with plastic surgery won't go to your child, and here's why I mentioned the law, if you do remember that case with that asian woman that got sued by her husband.

What do you look first in a person? Don't tell me you look for personality first because I'm certain you won't start talking to somebody that you think is ugly and ask him out.

Good genes aren't only that, sure, but this is what we're talking about here, plastic surgery, logic chopping is a fallacy Trappy.

I'm making fun of you for saying "good genes" are the equivalent of looking good, not saying that I don't care about looks.

That I don't care about appearance, based on me quoting silly text saying 'good genes = physical attractiveness'.

It's no problem if you do not understand, I think you forgot the name of the thread too. As I said before, good genes does not mean only that but that's what I need to say in this thread, so your point is invalid and you're just logic chopping like usual.

Yes, but his post was assuming that I was attempting to claim otherwise. Jesus christ, do I need to explain everything on this forum?

I was also assuming you understand that I am not saying that good genes only mean good looks.

But it seems I was wrong, oh well. Must I explain everything on this forum?

Don't you think that genes which give desireable traits, are to be considered good genes? Because if you do, then you two are not in disagreement.

They will have ugly children regardless of if they get surgery or not.

So I don't see how that has anything to do with it. I'd rather have ugly children and be beautiful, than have ugly children and also be ugly.

Plus, they can just get it too. Wasn't there a book about that or something? At like age 16, everybody got surgery to be gorgeous?

Considering that you have all the luxury, though not that ugly - just sort of, would you resort to this? http://en.rocketnews24.com/2013/04/09/before-and-after-31-startling-images-of-plastic-surgery-in-korea/

Are you asking if I want voluntarily to be opened like a can by some (fallible) expert without immediate danger of death?

I pass.

But I don't want to criticize any adult choosing to do it if they feel fine with that choice.

I have no problem with the way I look at all and no problem in the dating business. Although I've actually considered it before and still considering getting my nose done.. but thats because I broke it when I was 8 years old and I was too young for the doctors to fix it back then and they told me to come back when I was past 18 years old. Its not that bad and most people wouldn't notice, but in pictures its really noticeable. Its expensive and about 6 months for a full recovery and its what has drawn me back.

My Systems and Signals prof started telling us about the plastic surgery in Korea when we came across two equations that we had to prove were the same.

Now whenever we come across an integral that we have to change to look like another, he goes 'Ah, another Korean girl'

It's pretty offensive, but it does help you remember what you have to do to prove a system is time invarient
