No mine aren't really set in stone, I recently rewatched Bakemonogatari and Kino's Journey and I think I like them better than Spice and Wolf and FMA: Brotherhood now, but that is all subject to change, also Beck was my favorite for a while, but I've been rewatching it and I'm not really enjoying it as much as the first time I saw it.

It's pretty much written in stone. I doubt that anything could pop-up and change it in the near future.

They aren't really set in stone, just very rarely does anything better come along.

I'd say my top 3 are probably set in stone. The rest I could see actually changing.

Death Note as #1 is set in stone.

But the others can change around.

Didn't even bother to watch that POS movie. The OG is where its at. Probably my fav when I was a kid.

They've been there for a while. And when I signed up here I only had a top 3. I obviously had other anime I liked, but not really enough to list alongside the others. But now I do. Azumanga was the most recent addition. They're open to change, but it certainly doesn't happen frequently.

My top 2 are "written in stone" I know the first time I watched them that they are my favorites and that nothing is good like them the rest 3 are changing with time.

Lots of things are carved in stone, literally and metaphorically. You could call someone who unflinchingly sticks to the same script stupid, but there still may be integrity to him doing so.

I have a handful of "all-time" favorites in any medium, choosing just 5 is rather arbitrary. So sure my list could change.

Probably but most likely my top 1(Clannad series) and top 2(Higurashi series) are set in stone.

I imagine 2 of mine are set in stone, but the rest are not and are subject to change, the number 5 slot has changed 3 or 4 times.

My top 4 is set in stone. But my 5th changes frequently. I generally just pick a show that reflects my tastes rather than my actual 5th choice

although 2 of them are pretty well-grounded for me personally. We'll see after I finish watching ~150.

There's still hope. I think only 2 shows surpass that one.

Berserk(manga), Mushishi and Last Game will probably hold those Top 5 spots forever.
As for the others, who knows.

My top 2 are. I never really thought past that though. Cowboy Bebop will always remain my second favorite anime, as I consider it the best anime ever made. As in, everyone can watch it and enjoy it. Some will enjoy it more than others, but nobody can say it was bad. My favorite anime will probably always be Baccano! No show has been able to captivate me like Baccano! has, and I doubt any show ever will. The other shows on my top list would include Kara No Kyokai, Steins:Gate, Clannad, AnoHana, Fate/Zero, and Space Brothers. But those are all subject to change. My favorite movie will most likely always be Grave Of Fireflies, as no movie has made me feel so many emotions before.

I have MANY TOP 5 favorites, too many of my fav series are of the same caliber and I love them equally.

But they are set in stone in the sense that as a fan that has watched anime from all eras, theres no new anime that can match my favorites, which are mostly classic and legends.

So, I can rotate for other old legends and calssics but wont rotate for any contemporary anime (2000+) because there none that can match them.

Lost Canvas Meiou Shinwa will probably remain as my all time fav forever, I find it difficult to replace Steins Gate an Legend of the Galactic Heroes with another anime, Death Note an particularly Dragon Ball Z can be replaced at any time

Tiger & Bunny and Hajime no Ippo are written in stone, Uchuu Kyoudai is probably not going anywhere any time soon, but the other two I switch out occasionally. There's a lot of really good anime, so it's hard to pick a top five. I also don't rush into adding something to my favorites even if I really liked it because it's hard to tell if I really liked it enough for it to be a favorite or if I like it that much just because I recently finished it.

Nope. I've actually replaced all of my old faves with new ones, since I constantly find better anime back then.

Though right now, it's pretty much set in stone. I haven't found any anime better than those I have favorited, though if an anime currently airing right now goes as well as I predict it to be, one of them is bound to change.

Eureka Seven, Evangelion 2.0 and Fate/Zero are written in stone, Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet could be the 4th if the direction it's headed doesn't change, the 5th will be hard to find

I think my top one would be pretty hard to beat. As for the others, I've seen a fair share of ones that have gotten high praise but not very many I feel deserve the credit they get. There's still some ones I hear are really good that I still have to see.

One Piece and Ouran is my top 2 favorites, and will always be at the top.
The other three can change, but it's not easy to get that high on my favorite list.
So mostly it's set in stone :)

Two of my top three have pretty much remained in stone, but the third one changes pretty often. I'm thinking attack on titan will be a stronk contender.

I change them rather irregularly but once I do, they usually stay there for a while until I find something even more remarkable or I simply decide to choose other anime I like (after all my personal favourites aren't limited to five).
