It will beat them. It already sold almost 4M in those seven weeks since anime started. That alone would put it at yearly #7 (comparing to 2012). Seeing how sales are going currently, anime should add 2 more millions at the very minimum + there will be vol 11 in Spetember as well, adding another 1M. There were also some December-April sales: 650k of volume 9 + smaller amounts of other vols, so we can add another 1M. If we sum everything, it adds up to guaranteed 8M, #2 territory. Personally, I'm starting to think it might beat 10M for fiscal 2013.
SnK can also beat sales of Naruto, HxH, KnT volume by volume (all three are at 1.1-1.3M range). There's also serious competitor Gin no Saji (Silver Spoon), which will surely get huge anime boost. GnS and SnK were quite close vol by vol in 2012 though in yearly total list SnK should easily win thanks to bigge amount of volumes. I also think GnS' anime boost won't be as huge but that's just pure speculation. Magi will sell very well but has no chance of facing SnK.
I hope To LOVE-Ru: Darkness joins top30 in fiscal 2013. It was unlucky in 2012 as most of vol.3 sales are from uncounted period. Anime should have provided decent boost to manga. Such a shame we'll barely miss vol 9 sales. 6 + 7 + 8 (now they have potential to sell 0.5M - vol.4 sold 460k in 2012 and manga is still at the point where sales should continue to grow) will hopefully be enough for top30 with aid of anime boost.
We finally have mid-yearly list of manga http://www.animenewsnetwork.co.uk/news/2013-06-02/top-selling-manga-in-japan-by-series/2013-first-half
We have to remember this number doesn't cover last week when every volume sold above 66k (705,449 total), so real number right now is 4,997,657 (as I said above, 5M), a little bit above Magi which added 168,717 for 4,956,236 (will lose significantly in yearly list because its anime boost is already over) and above Kuroko which added 29,698 for total 4,742,471. Yes, other volumes of Magi and Kuroko surely sold a bit as well this week but their anime boost is long over so those numbers were really small.
Also:
26. To Love-Ru Darkness (1,021,063) <- nice! Getting into yearly top30 might be hard though, Volume 8 will be counted fully, so 1.5M is quite possible but getting higher... it seems anime boost was too small.
Glad to see the last volume of Zetsuen no Tempest and also the last one of Fushigi Yuugi: Genbu Kaiden, although I wouldn't want an anime adaptation if they are going to do it like Arata Kangatari. Genbu Kaiden is superior to Fushigi Yuugi and Takiko has to be the best Watase heroine.
At this point I really don't care if the GK anime turns out like Arata, I just wish it would be adapted. Besides, the GK manga is already completed as compared to Arata, which is on going, so there's a good chance it would be a 2 cour series if it does get adapted.
