Ok....honestly what's the fascination with beer???

I tried my first beer when I was 16 and I hated it, but I didn't think anything of it, maybe I'll like it when I was older...

However that didn't happen, when I turned 21 (legal age in the U.S) I still didn't like it...and I tried many different brands.

They all taste the same....HORRIBLE.

Anyways, I only drink liquor my favorite is Patron...

I agree, beer is awful.

Wine is the drink for me. Well anything flavored actually. I want to try that Mike's Hard Pink lemonade at some though. I love pink lemonade.
I hate you all.

I'm gonna go with a danish favorite: Ga-jol
Though it's probably illegal outside of northern Europe because of the relatively high amounts of ammonium chloride it contains...

I'm curious if those that say that they hate beer has actually tried anything beyond random shitty lager brands? They do all taste the same, and they're far from interesting. Something like a Belgian Tripel, an Imperial Stout or a spontanously fermented Kriek tastes nothing like them. I had a mate that disliked beer, but after we went to Belgium for a week he was cured ;)

I like Malibu, Pina colada, Vodka, Wine (I like all types), Vodka Alcopops and that's about all.

I don't mind Cider that much but I can't drink more than half a pint without getting stick of the taste.

The man part would be more convincing if you actually spelled Guinness correctly ;)

I've never drank alcohol and I plan not to, but I've always been attracted to the idea of drinking fine wines, probably because I'm a pretentious snob.

I don't really drink. Alcohol, specifically beer doesn't taste that good. It doesn't taste bad but honestly I think I'd rather just have a soda. Still, the occasional wine or whatnot is nice.

You're not supposed to taste your alcohol. You just swallow it.

This.

I drink Sake more than the other one I drink (wine). Not much of a drinker though. I'd usually drink once in like 3-4 months.

Mostly I drink beer (I'm drinking it at the moment in fact)...but I also like whiskey, rum, schnapps (I'm not sure how to say 'rakija' in English) and white wine (especially Kutjevachka Grashevina made in Croatia)

i never drink alcohol myself but in like home-parties or so (not that i go on those..) its often a thing called "Landi" in icelandic. (dont know what its called in english :S) its a certain kind of homebrew and extremely efficient... last time i drank this thing i passed out, hated alcohol ever since.

Tequila!
And it's not like sake's missing. The poll only suggests the stuff you'd find in any North American bar. If it went outside of that it would never end. I guess the author was North American.

By volume? That would be cider (witch appears to have gotten drunk and wondered off the list). Never acquired the taste for beer.
Form stronger drinks... At this point my number 1 would be vodka (mixed with good old coke).
Used to be rum for many years but as of recent, gotten a bit bored with it (Captain Morgan's Spiced is still heavenly).
Ah. And tequila... Brings back memories. First year of university... Good times. :D

edit.
Wow. No wonder. It appears the definition of what can be considered a 'cider' is pretty different by countries. Apple juice - wtf?
Kopparberg ftw!

When I want to get drunk, definitely vodka or whiskey. Just to chill out I like martinis, warm sake or soju, absinthe, and occasional scorpions. There are only a few beers I can stomach, dead guy's ale, kirin, and heineken.

I'm drinkin' a Mike's Hard Lemonade now. It's weak, but it's all that's available in the house right now.

I don't drink alcohol very much at all but if I do it's usually just a glass of wine with dinner on special occasions or something. Or if I'm out with friends maybe a cocktail or two but that's it for me. I've only been drunk once, haha.

A nice corona with a lemon in it.
That shit tastes REALLY refreshing.

Smirnoff and Absolute are pretty nice to get you started though.
Love that warm feeling in the chest.

Can and will drink just about anything. I like beer, but I am the cheap, light beer type (there are a few exceptions of course). My favorite drink of all is vodka. It was my tried and true when I first got into the party scene (didn't like beer at first). So, vodka has that nostalgia factor for me as well.

About the only thing I don't like is really stout dark beer. I'm also not a fan of wine coolers. I can drink them, but would rather not. I like tequila ok, but I nearly always black-out when I drink it. Waking up and finding out you drove a long distance without even knowing is not fun. Scary, so I try to avoid too much tequila.

Voted for beer because of price and availability.

Red wine, whiskey and vodka are great too.

More of a beer fan. Love microbreweries. They tend to be higher quality beer and just more interesting in my opinion.

But also love my sauvignon blanc. Give me a bottle of that and I'm happy.

For plain alcohol whisky would definitely be my number one. Oh man nothing like sitting back after a long day with a glass (or 3) of some nice whisky. I do love making my own mixed drinks though so coktails and beer would be a close second.

Rum, son! It makes you feel like a pirate.
And whiskey, SON! It makes you feel like a cowboy.

Depending on whether I'd like to feel like a pirate or a cowboy, I will have rum or whiskey.

Really though, as long as it is liquor, I will drink it.

This fucking shit

Start of with a couple of brews, then move on to the hot stuff when in the buzz.

My hangover cure would be a litre of ice cold water! ;)

I want to go to Russia with a bottle of Vodka and just stumble across the footpath all by my lonesome! lol
