A few announcements have been made regarding the TV anime "Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru." that is currently being aired on TV in Japan:

1. The anime will eventually cover up to the Cultural Festival Arc in volume 6 of the light novel.

2. There will be a spin-off episode with an original story which will be broadcasted in the week after the 12th episode is released, thus making the series 13 episodes total.

3. A OVA with an original story will be made and bundled with the PlayStation Vita game "Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru." which will be released summer 2013.

4. The original stories for the spin-off episode and the OVA will be written by Watari Wataru, the author of the light novel. This will be his first time writing a screenplay for TV anime.

Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru. OVA on MAL
Modified by Sakana-san, Apr 6, 2016 12:30 PM
So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old?

I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them?

I wonder how long people would put up with this.

As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series.

Really hope to see a second season though.

Great news, more of Hachiman's greatness is never bad.

Btw they adopted quite a lot in only 12 episodes I have to say, volume 7 just got released in Japan.

Only 13 episodes  O well, I just hope it will end well, I have that massive feeling that's it's going to be one of the shittiest endings ever.

Aww, confirmation that it's only a 12 episode series.

Hope they don't cliffhanger it like Haganai...

The author himself will be writing for the OVA and the spin-off? Sounds good to me.

This is an ongoing LN adaptation, the chance of cliffhanger or open ending is very likely or they can't make continuation if they ever want to stay faithful to the LN/

Yosh! I really liked Oregairu, and Hachiman is my favourite. I mean, both in the anime and overall in my Top 10. It has been a while since I added someone new :)

Since they say that a lot has been covered already - up till volume 6 - 12 + 1 = 13 episodes is quite alright. I would love to see the 2nd season getting confirmed in the near future, though. I enjoy watching it a lot. Simple, realistic, nice character development, and sincere school atmosphere. Nothing is always wonderful in highschool. The approaches from Hachiman to real-life events are perfect!
