And honestly, what does Haruhi have to do with all of this? I love Haruhi too, I'd love for a third season, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to enjoy whatever other anime appeal to me in the meantime. Chill.

Oh no some well-known studio makes an anime you aren't interested in. Just get over it already. I wasn't interested in Tamako Market, and would rather have seen them do something else. You know what I did? I did not watch Tamako Market, and neither did I bitch on and on and on and on and on about it.

KyoAni don't owe you anything. Neither the studio nor the industry are going to perish just because they didn't make Kawaii Moe Uguu Series #5007. Nichijou and Tamako Market flopped, yet they continue to make things. If Free! flops, life goes on. If Free! is successful, life also goes on.

KyoAni are doing an anime that appeals to females (and the occasional gentleman). That's really all there is to it.

But if you allow for that line of thinking to define the show before it's even aired, you have to accept all those arguments stupid people make about every otaku show with cute girls in it being "a fanservice show". Personally I only classify something as such if it's something like Hyakka Ryouran or To Love-Ru or Kanokon.

Don't forget THE UPPER BODY
The director wouldn't stop talking about how important their upper body and chests are.
Also, they have different staff just for water. Water will be very important. Character development will be very important as well.

Edit: ANOTHER NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR- Upper bodies are filled with dreams. Don't forget to stare at their chests and shoulders.
