| So, I just got some new headphones for Christmas. Nothing really special, but they do seem to do the job for the time being (Sennheiser eh 150). I was curious as to if I got an amp would it improve the quality? I would imagine it would boost the overall max sound of the phones and add Bass, but other than that I'm at a loss. So the question is what are tube amps for exactly, and where are good places to shop for someone in the US? I really just wanna pump music in to my ears louder than I can as of now, but I would hate to have shit quality while doing that... Any advice anyone? |

| PA2V2 amp would be the best for you for now http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?s=1309d80973105f5dc3bdc05be0bdf3c8&act=Attach&type=post&id=564338 Tube amps would be awesome with some higher end headphones.So don't spend on those unless you're planning to get akg K701 |

I have a XCAN V3 and Sennheiser HD650 sounds great, The XCAN is a hybrid though not a pure tube amp. |
