"Fraternal Love on the South Seas"

I didn't think I was going to like this ep, but I did. Of course as soon as the Argama touches down they are attacked by the classic "Ugly Water Mobile Suit". But the twist is seeing how the Neo Zeon are using the poor local residents to support their forces. The locals think they're getting the better of the spacenoids, but they're really just being used to fight their battles for them.
It ends with a happy ending & sometimes happy endings are OK.

Wow, I eexpected it to be good (gundam is always good on earth!) but I didn't expected it to be this good! I really liked this ep, this series really took a big turn.

Now I like how the story is going. This episode was fantastic. I also liked the idea of the local people piloting those mobile suits for a living. Another point of view was shown, how war can affect different kind of people~
Nice character development at the end~

All right now that was good. Judau is beginning to generate ideals from his experiences, and it looks like he's in a position to influence lots of other characters with them

Wtf this was all over the place am surprised what you find good about GundamZZ. Until now it has been horrible. The only improvement is that there are less silly jokes.

Judau there is gravity you can't just jump off the side anymore. xD

I seriously thought for half a second that Taman was going to kamikaze into the cave.

Nice episode. For about 6 episodes now, it's starting to look like a normal Gundam. Not that I minded the comedy as much as I thought I would..

I thought Taman was a goner as well but he made it out alive and we even got a nice rainbow in the end.
Which I should probably enjoy since we don't get those endings often here.

A lot of shit was blowing up this episode, and I liked it a lot.

Judau and Puru fighting combo is really fun to look at :D

Awesome episode Earth episodes in Gundam always seem far superior to the eps that come before and zz is no exception.

The happy ending actually surprised me considering what happened to Cecilia, that's the benefit of not lazily killing everyone off all the time like they did in Zeta.

Great episode!

Though i felt like this is the same episode from 079, where Amuro found an island where a former Zeon soldier killed off the family because he was ordered to, but now he's living with the kids that he killed as debt.

So i guess we'll be seeing more Judau and Puru teamwork? I have to wonder how Leina would feel if they found out about this? Or even Puru, i doubt she'll give Judau that easily.

When Judau's crying, he doesn't cry like a baby like Kamille is. I guess every Gundam pilot will have to go through a stage like this.

Can't wait for the next episode!

Really good episode.. it's nice judau manage to save Taman and Taman blows up that neo zeon water cave hideout .

Can't Say I agree with them letting puru out of her room like that. She'll eventually get recaptured by neo zeon and brainwashed again, or killed .. it's sad she seems to really naturally like judau the only thing that's getting in the way is the damn brainwashing . Hopefully she doesn't get the tragic ending like four

I liked Judau's positive attitude and the fact the exploited local boy survived. Interesting episode about how Neo-Zeon manages its war effort.

Wow, I'm impressed.

That was probably the best ZZ episode to date, and by a long shot. The way Puru managed to escape the Argama was stupid as usual and i'm certain that from now on she'll get a similar treatment to that of Chara Soon a.k.a being free to move around the ship as she pleases, but the rest of the episode largely made up for that by pretty much hitting all the right notes. The parallel between Judau's and Taman's lives was on point, Puru managed not to be completely insufferable by having a limited amount of lines and putting on some teamwork with Judau instead, Tomino perfectly nailed down the difficulties of being an orphan kid in a poor war-torn country (hell, he even got our tendency to swindle the shit out of foreign customers right lol), Judau's passionate anti-war speech was full of emotion and sincerity, and finally Taman not only survived, but he also got the most badass part of the whole episode plus a goddam rainbow as a bonus.

This show can be pretty darn good when it wants to.

Me too. I had this moment where I basically went "This is late-middle Gundam, this kid or his sister (or both) aren't going to make it." And then, much to my relief, they both survived.

Took the words out of my mouth. Has Judau been annoying at all till this point? The dude is 14 years old, but you can tell he has integrity and is more mature than Amuro and Kamille were.

Taman made the right decision to destroy those mobile suits. Now he realizes that warfare is something that one should avoid if they have the ability to.

I liked seeing some of a 0079 gundam style episode finally. Fighting on earth gave me those 0079 vibes big time. The episode was good, I enjoyed the pace and how we seen neo Zeon using civilians as a means to get them to do their dirty work, also Puru stepped up and wasn't a brat. Still though, I can't help but feel this whole show in general lives in the shadow of it's predecessors.

The message from Karaba implied that there were non-Axis Zeon forces at play? Interesting.

Judau's escape from the ship reminded me of Amuro doing the same, of course. Though for different reasons.

Taman punched Judau in the gut, then carefully laid him on the ground with his hand, lol. Such a caring guy.

"What kind of soldier uses civilians to do the dirty work?" - exactly, Judau. Now ask the Argama crew about that :p

I liked the ending and the whole episode. Judau is better at saving people than Kamille, it seems. I even teared up at Judau's antiwar speech.

Also this episode probably marks the first time when I liked the "escape" - Ple escaped in a very childish way, and that was appropriate for a child (cyber)newtype, I think.

You'd think the military would force Taman to repay for the destruction of their mobile suit, but it's just that easy, so they just got to have a happily ever after...
