| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- A lot of things in the episode were obviously meant to (over)state the American setting, like the Kentucky Derby, cops in blue shirts (with guns), and what was almost the Star Spangled Banner playing at the end. I wonder how many other things were, though. Was the traffic jam? Were 1970's American traffic jams infamous enough for a Japanese TV show to use one to drive home the setting? All that aside, this was a solid, straightforward episode. |
| The Kentucky Derby in New York? I think the animators need some geography lessons. Other than that, a good episode. |

| Really cool episode, the heist with the time limit and the off limits floor was pretty good. And they succeeded at the end too, it's always a joy to see the four of them working together like this. But even though Lupin concocted a plan to fool Zenigata, his sixth sense is so keen that he just knew Lupin was in the bank, even though he couldn't do anything about it for not being sure. xD |

| It was funny how Lupin, Jigen and Goemon compared music tastes at the beginning. Didn't take Jigen to be a fan of classical. Good episode, as the ones where the four of them cooperate with a clear plan to pull off a heist tend to be. |
