This isnt just in general what do you think is best its mainly based on movies and such like shaun of the dead or twilight

and for those saying that zombie movies dont have a plot theres always stuff like 28 days later (im pretty sure that counts) and dawn of the dead

Damn, I genuinely can't choose. I absolutely adore zombie movies (Romero is to blame for entire days of my life being wasted) and my favourite movie is "Shaun of the Dead". However, I enjoy the mythology behind vampires a lot more.

I'll compromise on this:
Vampires are better when it comes to books.
Zombies are better when it comes to film.

I prefer vampires because lets face it they are a lot cooler than zombies.
They are strong, fast, give a strong feeling of attraction to the opposite sex, they take part in orgies, have there own brain and the best of all they stay young and beautiful forever.

Zombies are better, because Dracula and that pretty boy from Twilight can't take down Nemesis with his mini gun and rocket launcher. He'd turn every vampire into confetti on contact, even when he runs out of ammo he'd rip them to shreds.

Also, vampires can be stopped by sunlight, crosses and garlic, but zombies walk during the day, crosses can't do anything, and vegetables don't bother them, because you have to pump the full of lead to stop them. Zombies are more awesome.

This is all dependant on which culture you take the vampire mythology from. Not all of these weaknesses are present in certain versions of the vampire legend.

Zombies are pretty easily taken down in a one-on-one situation though, but that is actually a plus. I've lost count of the number of amazing dreams I have had that involve me, a cricket bat and a zombie apocalypse. I always win.
