| Just wondering this. I read the 40-something chapters translated to the date in a couple of hours My 2 cents: - It's amazing - Nakamura is like a weird psycho-mix of Rei Ayanami and Haruko Haruhara, both in appearance and in personality/psychology. |
| I'm planning to read it from before the Anime was announced... Haven't got around to it. It's now more of a priority because of the Anime though. |

| I think, i will stop reading until the anime is finished. As seemingly the only guy on earth, who totally and unironically loved the first episode of the anime(despite little quality flaws), I don't have the feeling, like i need any more than that right now. |

| I read the manga before this abomination was set upon the earth. Before people say I didn't even watch ep1, I saw screenshots all over the Internet to make a decision that it wasn't worth my time even if I was anticipating this adaptation quite highly. I'm sure people who haven't read the manga prior to ep1, and were put off by the artwork/animation in ep1, were curious enough to read the manga with fans defending that the manga has a really good plot or something. I agree though. The manga is quite amazing indeed. |

| I was planning to read it ages ago, but never got round to it. When I heard the director of Mushishi was adapting it I took the anime into higher priority. Now it's the other way round, already read the first two volumes (it's fine, better than the abomination if anything) |

| I just started reading the manga after seeing Episode 1. Let's hope that the plot of the anime will deviate from the manga. Kasuga-san should leave Saeki-san's gym bag on the floor and go home to read Baudelaire. Then the remaining 12 episodes can become a slice-of-life high school story along the lines of Azumanga Daioh, Nichijou or Lucky Star. Note that one of the main characters in Azumanga Daioh was also named Kasuga and she was nicknamed Osaka. As I recall, she never did anything perverted. |

| DStev, you mention a lot of swearing in the manga. Basically, there is only one swear word, but they keep using it over and over and over. Yeah, it is really a bit much. In the version I read it says f-------. The actual word is "kusomushi". Generally, it is extremely difficult to translate obscene words in one language into another. For one thing, it depends a lot on the context and the tone of voice. It can depend on who is speaking. My nonexpert opinion (since I have never lived in Japan) is that the translators went over-the-top in using f------- as the translation for "kusomushi". It made you feel uncomfortable. I didn't like it either. Since I already knew the actual Japanese word before I started to read the manga, I was able to partially overlook the harshness. |
