| I don't think he would make a good Spike. Spike is a very laid back, cool, funny, and nice kinda of guy normally. Reeve just seems like he's too serious for the part. I don't know who WOULD make a good Spike, but when I think of someone I'll let you know. |

| I found a very good candidate for the role of Spike Spiegel: Joseph Gordon Levitt: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0330687/ He has the same age as Spike Spiegel (27). Just watch the movie "Brick" from 2005. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0393109/ He has quite the same hairstyle as Spike and the Noir mood is quite matching with the Cowboy Bebop series, in my opinion. |

| yeah. i don't understand where all this hate is coming from either. i can understand skeptics but the hate.... i'm gonna give him the benefit of the doubt and just wait to see the movie when it comes out next year |
| Keanu Reeves is not a bad actor. He can even be pretty good once in a while. But I want a better actor to portray Spike. I don't think Keanu can pull off Spike's personality. |
| I think Keanu is a little too old now. He would've been ok looks-wise for the role five years or so ago, but he looks 40+ now. But... I he seems to become a better actor as he ages. I'd be for Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Now THAT's a good actor. |
