This is only a myth.
So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old?

I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them?

I wonder how long people would put up with this.

As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series.

finally! The best part of the game. I'm guessing this will be around 12 episodes or so. and they're doing Rin2 route, but what about Rin1? I felt they should have ended the 1st season with it. and what about Kurugaya's route? well, as long as they do Refrain well, i'll be happy!

Rin1 isn't even necessary. And Kurugaya's route is also included on the next season.

K-On and Lucky Star has sold way more than a lot of other animes had. Those literally had no plot to them and were made by KyoAni. I don't really think that's a myth. And you know what, I'm glad they didn't pick up LB. With their track record with wrapping up Key animes, they've done a terrible job. BOth the Kanon and Clannad animes had terrible endings that made hardly any sense due to KyoAni's incompetence and inability to actually ADAPT the story. They don't even fucking talk that much about the orbs of lights in Clannad. The ending just seemed like one big Deus Ex Machina, which it wasn't in the VN. Same with Kanon. So far, JC has been handling the secret of the world fantastically and it can do nothing but improve this show. KyoAni didn't pick this up because they didn't think they could adapt it well, and I agree. Little Busters is harder to adapt than Clannad and Kanon.

I'm not really "hyping it up" I'm answering what people are asking, or trying to ask.
But you are hyping it up.

Telling people the first season was just build up sets people's expectations for refrain higher.

Heck your first post in this thread says refrain will be better. How is that not hyping it up?

I answered peoples question about why the they're making a second season and stated that "The first season is a build up for refrain." Guess what people still did, continued to ask away, so I answered and said the same shit again and again.

Setting peoples expectations higher is a bad thing? Just stop. All I did was requote somebody and crossed one word out, and put one word in and that's hyping it up? Okay. If I was hyping it up I'd be like "You should keep watching, it's way better than everything else," everything about it is great from animation quality down to the storyline. No if I was actually hyping something I'd be phrasing it more so.

Before you even try and say I said that when I was talking about Clannad: AS, don't even bother because I purely praised Clannad for having the right progression throughout series.
You don't have to keep answering the same question repeatedly. Doing so makes you look like a desparate fanboy constantly telling people "Everything will be okay guys! Season 1 was just build-up!"

I also never said setting peoples expectations higher is a bad thing.

I will gladly say that Refrain blows the first part out of the water, and the big scene in it is my favorite single scene in any anime/vn/manga ever.

Is that hyping it up? Sure. But I absolutely love it, so I can't help but feel excited.

Now that I know the 2nd one was just annoucned I feel like, I wasted my time watching this JC Staff abomination up now. If they ruin Refrain, I have no hope left. I don't even want them to touch Sasami or Saya's route because they'll most likely ruin it. :C

People like you are the most annoying lot and make yourselves look really stupid, since JC STAFF DOESN'T EVEN WRITE THE FUCKING SCRIPT.

All they do is animate what has already been scripted by Key's script writers for the anime. So unless you're so superficial that you can't get past the average to slightly above average art, then please stop joining the J.C. Staff hate wagon.

You seem like a fellow LB visual novel lover, so please just let Refrain speak for itself and stop trying to defend Little Busters' poor current reception.

I honestly think that if the first season were super well received by fans, everyone would be like "yeah, this is the best adaptation ever!" But since people aren't taking a liking to it since they don't realize that everything is a build up to Refrain, they're saying "it's boring" and that "nothing happened," so the VN players have to find a scapegoat to protect the image of their precious VN. Heck, I loved the Little Buster's VN, but I didn't cry a single tear. I was more like "huh, didn't see that one coming" and "what the fuck is going on?"

I know you want everyone in the world to think that Little Buster's! is the best thing since sliced bread, but stop trying to place the hate on J.C. Staff (who's done absolutely everything right with what they were given) just because some people can't accept that Little Busters! didn't make them cry tears of sorrow and give them "some much feelz!!!1!" like a lot of people tried to hype it up to be.

Tamako Market and Nichijou are the proof that not everything made by KyoAni sells great.

I don't know about Kanon, but... How Clannad ending is a big failure?

Also, KyoAni stuff is miles better at presentation than JC Staff stuff. I'm not talking about the animation alone; their cinematography is really good, they know how to set the best mood for every of their works. Even if you dislike the actual content of their productions (I can't see K-On! as anything other than shallow fluff, and Chuu2koi ending seems ambiguous in a bad way IMO), you can't deny they always try to make the best out of their premises. If it weren't like this, they could never touch so many people as they did with Clannad AS.

Sometimes I do wonder if MAL is trapped in a time loop of some sort. Every single time the name "KyoAni" is brought up, we get this again and again...

Selective memory is amazing!

It hasn't even been two weeks since Tamako sales #'s were released, but I've already forgotten.

I had to quit the first season around episode 5 out of respect for Key. Either I wait for a proper adaptation or I'll just play the game.

Just play the game if you don't really have any faith for the current adaptation. Besides, I doubt that there'll be a remake and that'll be so stupid if they plan to do one.

On multiple occasions I have had to explain the ending to Clannad because of how ambiguous it is. Yu say it's well placed in the story, but it's not. They only mention what the lights do. THAT'S IT! They don't mention how what they actually do in terms of the shows plot. There is no mention of everytime Tomoya solved a girls problem, he obtained a light. They only hint at the fact that the lights have some sort of power in a quantity. The lights are in no way as prevalent in the Clannad anime as the secret of the world is prevalent in the Little Busters anime. In that retrospect, I think LB is better. The main twist is actually a PART of the shows conflict at this point. Riki has NO IDEA what it is and what effect it has on him, but he's slowly piecing it together. In Clannad, it's just thrown at you and it's not even explained. It's literally just like "This is a world where we both exist. The lights in the world can do something in quantity." Then Tomoya wakes up in the other world, hugs Nagisa then all of a sudden she's acting as if she knew all along, when there absolutely no explaination to WHY she knows what's going on. It's just a huge blob of ambiguity and confusion. It's rare for me to find someone who just watched the anime and had a perfect understanding of what happened in the end. Same thing with Kanon.

Because he didn't even mention
and if you yourself don't understand the entirety of Clannad, that wall of text will make as little sense as the BS butchered explanation delivered in the anime by KyoAni.

He merely mentioned the two concepts and vaguely described the one in Clannad. Tomoya obtaining a light when he helps someone shouldn't be a spoiler. It should be part of the plot. You won't understand the point of that wall of text if you didn't watch or read Clannad.

In a world of consumers, sales are the only thing that equate to "how good" something is considered. Even if people don't like Little Busters, their opinions are just a grain of sand on the beach, especially given the fact that we're on MAL, which is hardly the be-all-end-all of anime viewers in the world.

It's still good news for fans of the series, though. Hope it turns out as good as ya'll are anticipating.

Eh not really need to catch up fast lol. We won't get Refrain until around Fall 2013-Early 2014. If you're asking why this is, it's because they're reairing the show April 13th or something.

I was expecting Refrain as a second season. If JC Staff learns from their mistakes in Season 1, this could be at the level of Clannad After Story. I seriously believe in this because Refrain in the Novel was great.

Well this was expected. J.C. Staff rarely leaves an adaptation unfinished if the source material is already finished. I hope they won't mess up the best part of the novel. They actually did a decent job so far.

It's to be expected, there'd be no point in doing only half of the VN. Although LB is the worst of all of key's VNs so I'm not excited in the slightest.
