| He has to be kidding us, i mean how the ************************** can you fit a entire series in a movie which will probably have to be like 90 minutes. And if they'd indeed take Keanu Reeves as Spike then they might as well cast Jacky Chan as Jet Lee and Hall Berry as Faye. Maybe they could find a roll for Arnold Schwarzenegger and Matt Damon as well and then it'll be a successful movie for sure... |

| Keanu can be a decent actor sometimes. Emphasis there is on sometimes. If he does get to play Spike (and it is most likely he will be) then I just hope he doesn't screw him up completely. There is still that chance he wont...must...hold on...to...hope...ful...feelings. |

| Somebody towards the end of the AnimeNewsNetwork forum comments on the story mentioned that the letters in his name could be rearranged to spell Eureka Seven. Well I wanted to comment something fiercely about that because that hit me hard, but they closed the freaking comments!!!! So, here I am begging for anyone to listen. I can't stand the fact he might want to play Spike, but for someone to suggest Holland. Well...that sent me to a whole new level of fierce contempt for any possible Spike play by him or whatever.... GRRRR |

| I will still watch this movie, but only thru renting the DVD. Not that I'm saying that Keanu Reeves isn't perfect for this role, it's just that I have a policy of not watching Live-Action movies based off of anime in movie theaters. |

| lol, hilariously bad idea. Keanu Reeves is best with the kind of characters that aren't supposed to show much emotion (like Klautu in The Day the Earth Stood Still - he was fine for that role). Spike is not at all that kind of character. |
