Comedy School Friendship type anime makes me feel like I really missed out in my middleschool and highschool days.. reminds me too much of how awesome life was as a kid.

That's because the vast majority of school-based anime don't give two shits about real school work. You wouldn't be missing much, if anything, if they did.

No, but books have.Code Geass's ending made me upset, and depressed but not empty, that makes it the closest one so far.

EoE. Left a hollow feeling in my chest for a week and I felt like my brain was spilling out of my ears. As silly as it may sound, it made me reevaluate my life.

It's becoming more and more difficult to feel the emptiness. My first one ever was HxH's ending, it happened to be my first completed anime series aswell. Coincidence much?

I recommend Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora and Hotarubi no Mori e. Don't underestimate them 'cause they're short.

Probably every anime that had romance or was a slice of life, or had some kind of depressing ending..
Actually... every anime that i completed always gave me this empty feeling of : ''What shall i do now....''

Yes. Chrno Crusade was one of those for me. T0T I couldn't stop crying for a really long time after seeing the ending. <3 Ghibli films also hold that power hold on my heart too! -hugs everyone- xx

This.

I usually end up playing a little COD right after I complete a series. Then I get pissed that my team can't keep up with me and I go back to feeling empty.

I was out of it after Now and Then, Here and There. The ending made me ponder whether or not the end result was a good or bad thing.

The most empty I felt after an anime though would have to be when I first saw Rurouni Kenshin Reflections OVA. It was like learning that adults cry or that your dad can't solve everything for the first time, it just took me completely off guard and I wasn't sure what to think at that point.

Welcome to the NHK and the 2003 FMA both made me feel pretty hollow after it was all over. Welcome to the NHK because of its parallels to my own life and FMA just because I was really invested in the characters and the ending was pretty damn bittersweet. Brotherhood's ending then took away that hollow feeling though, cuz everyone was so happy n shit.

Mirai Nikki. The last few episodes were intense. I felt like I was being attacked by a feels-bazooka. Like my term?

Soul Eater, it took me forever to finish that series. It held/holds a lot of sentimental value for me since it was my first "real" anime.

Angel Beats!....I refuse to watch the OVA since I like my head canon.

Sometimes I question myself whether this is a good thing or not.
Latest series to give me this feeling was Now and Then, Here and There. I was into the series from start to finish and after I finished the last episode I really felt empty, not sure if it was because of the way it ended or that I wanted more, but I was really engaged and enjoyed every bit of the series.

K-On Season 2 and the Movie both gave me that feeling. I got the feeling again when I re watched them with the dub.

NGE was sort of similar, but I was more annoyed and confused. I was actually glad it was over

I didn't really care too much about that anime myself but that ending, I have to admit, was one of the best endings in anime that I know. Profound, I hate the word because it sounds so pretentious but it's the best word I can think off.

I guess almost every anime has left me with great emptiness...

:That moment when you don't know what to do with your life anymore when an anime ends:

High School animes also leave me empty 'cause those high school days are long gone for me.

Alternative Universe animes also do the same because I enjoyed being in another universe with them while watching.

What's more... Animes like Clannad, Angel Beats and Otome x Amnesia left me crying!

Empty eh..? Most of the time it's those sad and touching ending that cause me pain..
Such as Angel Beats, Tasogare Otome x Amnesia, Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo.

There are also those which left me eager for more..
Like Hagure Yuusha no Estetica, Oda Nobuna no Yabou, K-On! Movie and so on.

As for light-novel/manga adaptation anime, I really don't care how it really ends with things left opened. Hell, SAO, Accel World & Attack On titan has become popular these days which it doesn't surprised me at all.

Psycho-Pass, Valvrave, & anything that gets me attention makes me eager for more.

Tiger & Bunny of course just ended with so many things that should've tied up loose ends in every episode but unfortunately they'll gonna reboot this series into 2 movies (Beginning & Rising) with all-new story.

Pretty much all my 10's and most of my 9's made me feel like that.

So, in a romance or romantic kind of anime, have you ever been so attached, and mesmerized by the fantastic lead characters, and entered this sort of ''euphoria'', like you were watching a truly one of a kind story? When their tale finally ends however, you feel this consuming feeling of emptiness and sadness, knowing you will not see the characters again, and the difficulty of moving on from it.

If so, do describe it, and it would also be informative if you were to name which couple it was.

I'd rather say ones with great couples that aren't yet finished (as in anime seasons based of still publishing mangas/LNs) leave you with a lot more to be desired than a story that has reached its end.

Idk what my favorite love story coupling is, maybe Kotarou x Lucia in Rewrite.

I felt down after Sailor Moon ended because there was no more Serena x Darien.

Also, I felt really sad about Katanagatari since I loved Shinichi and Togame together.

To be honest I could write a list but I'll stick with these two off the top of my head.

I cant exactly think of any couples in particular that I've gotten attached too but I definitely can say that it has happened for individual characters or maybe even a whole cast from a anime before, like Clannad or Eden of the East.
