| Trolls and jokes aside, Mars of Destruction is really a terrible anime. However, the plot has some amazing potential, which was unfortunately wasted in a 17 min short movie full of shitty animation, shitty voice acting and all kind of shitties. What if some studio were to take the idea and license of MoD and actually make something good out of it? Would you support it? Think about the possibilities it has, the hype would grow naturally, the license can't really be expensive, and if properly made it could surprise tons of anime fans. If we can gather enough support we can start a petition and see how it goes. |

| I think a lot of people would probably rag on it just because of it's name, regardless of the quality it may or may not have. And, honestly, why not just create something without the name and the baggage it entails? Though I don't know what people thought of it in Japan. Me? If I happened to like it, that's great. I definitely wouldn't be part of a petition, though. |

| Yes, but not for the plot. I think it would make a better parody anime. By that I mean if they made it...aloof and not take itself too seriously, kinda like a Tarantino film. |

| MoD makes people very mod indeed I'd love to see a "good" MoD, however it can never redeem the black mark the original has created so it'd be kind of hard no matter how much production value would be put into it. |

| Any remake would have to be quite different from the original. An attempt to simply re-do the original to make it technically better would cause it to lose all of its hideous charm. Maybe somebody could salvage a good story from this train wreck, but it would then have a completely different feel and wouldn't be worthy of the title "Mars of Destruction." I wouldn't mind seeing a parody spin-off of some sort. Maybe a spin-off telling the story of the girl who had her head blown off would be a good choice; she could get up and start walking around for no particular reason, and the series could follow her as she either continues to fight the enemy, ends up joining them, or simply destroys everything in her path like any good headless girl should. I can just imagine it. Blood would spurt out from her neck with every step, and perhaps her body would gradually rot. Maybe a perverted guy would fall in lust with her and attempt to get down her pants. Dogs would follow her and eat the parts that fall off. The possibilities are endless, and they are all bad. |

| Everytime I watch this OVA I keep getting the feeling that it was intended to have more episodes but the episode flopped so badly they didn't bother to make the next episode. Yes I agree the animation is awful but in fairness its nowhere near the worst Anime I have ever seen |

| Even the bible has better writing than MoD. I don't think there would be any reason to remake something that's already so terrible. It's like trying to save one of your soldiers after you saw all of his limbs get blown off. It's much more efficient to just send him home than to try to make him ready for battle. |
