| OH MY GOD KOMARI-MAX SHUT UP! Seriously, I know people have different tastes and that what one might find repulsive is a source of joy for others, but the mere fact that there are people without hearing impairment who do not cringe the moment she opens her mouth is beyond my understanding. There are a few voice actresses whose voice irks me for some reason, but this performance is beyond any kind of wretchedness I can sit through. Sorry, had to get it out of my system. Not to mention she is hogging all the time that could be spent on the other characters. Mio and Haruka get like 2-3 lines an episode after their arcs are over. Kurugaya even less. The Rin and Riki scenes were quite enjoyable to watch though 3/5. It would seem that the last two episodes would focus on the baseball game. JC. Staff you better animate Kurugaya's route one way or another, you managed to adapt this without messing up completely so far, don't ruin it now. |

Like her voice or not, you can't deny the reason why Komari gets more screen time. |

You'll simply get used to it one day, unless you continue kicking up a fuss every single time you hear her voice -_- And she's already improved a lot since the VN. Seriously, all that complaining... Also, her screentime is plentily justified since Komari holds the most significant role among the 5 heroines, namely being Rin's best friend. Sure, I wouldn't mind the other heroines get more screentime in the common route, but as you know, time is very limited for this Anime. |

| I think I should confess that Komari is one of my most favorite heroine in LB... ...because her positiveness reminds me a lot of my girlfriend Err, well, putting that aside,I'm not really fond of Komari as a heroine and main drama material (that's the only part where her voice didn't really suit me), but as a support? She's stellar. |

Um, I don't get it, but all's cool I guess. I'm only halfway through the novel anyway. |

 [spoilers] Lennon is actually A Nekogami [Cat God] he wrote the letters himself... Since he is a Nekogami he foresaw all the problems and events. His goal is actually to get rin to go against kyouske and then he get her to accidently kill kyosuke and takes over his body. Since its obviously a Key story kyosuke comes back to life because tweety shows up and kills lennon the nekogami... Then we go into lennons mind and realize that kyouske is actually a evil bastard that has to be killed. also as soon as riki sees a dead kyosuke he has a narcolepsy attack and the story ends with a narcoleptic Riki and the bgm *Boys dont cry* [Also the funny thing is that its so ironic how all the boys cry in the end when boys dont cry plays] This isnt a big spoiler so ill put the bigger spoiler below [spoilers] |

| I'm with planetarian. I just can't wait to see an announcement, maybe with a new director confirmation or something, or higher budget shown in a season 2 preview later after season 1 finishes. It honestly doesn't matter to me. I'm enjoying it a lot since I love all the characters and read the VN, but I want better fidelity in the story for season 2, to widen Little Buster' audience, so that it won't become another Chaos;Head or Tsukihime, where there is a huge disconnect between the VN and Anime audiences. |

Doing justice to KEY's greatest work with an Anime adaption is pretty much impossible unless they extend it to 150 - 200 episodes. 'Turning out decent' is pretty much the limit of what they can do with the current pacing. |

| There is a disconnect already as I have never seen the VN and yet I love the anime as it is. If it could have been even better then I am blissfully unaware of its true potential. I am thoroughly enjoying it and a second season just like this would be great IMO. |

However, I think that all the little details in the routes that got skipped (And don't get me started on the BIG details that got skipped as well...) are a major part of the corresponding route's impact. On their own, they are just minor details, but added up, they make a great difference. Don't misunderstand. I do not wish for them to copy-paste the entire VN as-is. But we all know that the greatest problem of this adaption is the insufficient amount of time for every route. The adaption isn't really bad or anything but it's far from doing the god-tier VN justice. |

| The thing I dislike the most is that Kurugaya has been reduced to a fanservice bisexual archetypal character >_> A lot of the characters come off as pretty generic looking at the anime, and if you can't relate with the characters, season 2's gonna be shit. You could probably read the VN save for Rin and Refrain, and watch season 2 and get a lot of enjoyment out of it. The characters are likable if you haven't seen a lot of anime, but they won't feel too unique from the anime alone. I was watching LB, Robotics;Notes, Sakurasou starting from the fall season, and didn't really watch a lot of anime prior to that, so the character types seemed really unique to me at the time, but after seeing other anime, most of the characters feel like rehashes of the same thing. The LB expands on character portrayal for each character far beyond the "I'm always happy", "I'm insecure", "I'm always there for you", "I'm shy", etc. character types, and I feel like if I wasn't really enjoying the anime a lot before I played the VN, mainly because I know a lot about each of the characters. I feel like if most of us didnt' play the VN, the episodes wouldn't even have as high ratings. We know the backstory, development, and uniqueness of each character already, so we can overlook it and enjoy the series. Even though we've read the VN, the characters still felt and feel like much more than copy-pasted archetype characters from another series. I feel like this is the biggest issue with the anime by itself, which derives from there being even less common route than dramatic heroine route episodes. I mean, looking back when I was watching weekly before reading the VN, I didn't even remember Komari's name come episode 4, and we've already reaching her mental breakdown? That's almost as bad as Kotoura-san's. It's difficult to animate a lot of the slice of life, because the VN doesn't keep the central purpose, the Secret of the World, in mind, and it also requires a much bigger time investment. You can expect little plot progression (in many VNs) for hours at a time, so it'd tedious to animate it 1:1. Seriously though, I feel like the VN readers, this is a good treat of a show. The character portrayal isn't as in-depth, but it's pretty consistent with the source material. If KyoAni did this, they might be able to make the characters seem more unique, but with this many episodes, it would still hard to be able to identify and relate to each character nearly as much as you could by playing the VN. /rant |
