I haven't finished the manga yet; I'm only at chapter 8. But I have to say that even though I normally wouldn't like a series like this; I am really enjoying it. It's very interesting and quite touching. What about you guys; did you like/ do you like Shikeisyu 042? Tell us about it. |

I've just finished both parts of chapter 1. It's quite an enjoyable read, although it felt too rushed getting into it at the beginning. Maybe if they had spent some more time on his imprisonment and the murders he committed, it would've established a firmer ground with this character. Anyways, I'll be looking forward to reading more! |

This is amazing. It's a psychological masterpiece.. It's sad how it can't have a "happy" ending, because he will ALWAYS be "trapped".. |

I've finished reading it, all 5 volumes, and it is amazing. I absolutely love it. The last chapter is a real tearjerker though, so do prepare tissues just in case. :) |

I've just picked it up again, and from the first pages I start to remember, why it irritated me the first time I tried to read it. It starts with the prisoner's suffering (btw, don't think that they keep prisoners like that anywhere in the first world countries, not even those intended for the death row), so we start to feel bad for him and want him to get something better. And that's a problem, because he is a murderer. I have to constantly remind myself, that I shouldn't sympathise too much. It would've been much better, if in t he beginning we had seen his crime and the suffering of the families of the deceased. Otherwise you don't really get the feeling that this is redemption. Also sending him to a school right at the beginning seemed stupid and dangerous. |
