| The character db says. Character DB said: No animals, bugs, inanimate objects, robots, mecha, or pokemon will be allowed. Exception: If they have a significant role in the plot. Ex. Aria Pokoteng (Aria), Alastor (Shakugan no Shana), Pikachu I guess he might not be too important in the show yet. Sometimes things are added and then taken out when noticed that they don't actually follow the rules. |

| If that's the reason then it doesn't make sense in this case. Pet is a quite important character, and although he's an animal he actually speaks. (I don't think it's a spoiler either, we knew who his voice actor was before the show started so I think it was pretty obvious he'd actually speak and not just grunt/make animal noises at some point.) He's got his own character song for crying out loud! |
