Ranma 1/2 was probably one of the first anime I've ever seen (I was only 8) so I feel a lot of affection to it.
Urusei Yatsura is the first manga I've ever read and, 6 years later, is still my favourite one.
But I choose Maison Ikkoku, because I think that's simply her best work and has the best anime adaptation

Ranma 1/2 is awesome! I also like One Pound Gospel, but Ranma 1/2 is awesome! Right now I am trying to get my hands on Mermaid Saga but I can't seem to find it anywhere. I like the Inuyasha manga but the anime sucked hard core. But I think Ranma 1/2 is Takahashi's best.

Maison Ikkoku is probably her most daring work; it didn't rely on any fantasy elements for plotting; instead it was entirely based in a real world Japan.

As much as I love the mindboggling plots of Urusei Yatsura and Ranma 1/2, its impressive how well she rendered stories about college entrance exams, finals, graduation, job searching, and life in general.

Urusei, Maison, and Ranma also have the added benefit of veteran voice actors, Shigeru Chiba, Issei Futamata, and Akira Kamiya (who was actually not in Ranma due to City Hunter and Yawara)

Let me agree with you :)So far Maison Ikkoku has been the only Takahashi's work I read/watched, but I am going to read/watch the others either.

Hello ! My name is Nina and I am a new member to this club. I just what’d to say HI. And that I am a huge, major Inuyasha Fan.
Anime Inuyasha was the first one I saw on adult swim cartoon network,.. it got me basically into the anime world.
By joining this club I want to know more about the creator and her work and to see if she is still coming out with new Anime Inuyasha episodes.
Thanks Nina :)

This isn't a good thing. People should just vote after they have seen everything of Rumiko.

My vote goes obviously to Maison Ikkoku. A series that transcended anime.

Wow, who would have guessed that. A tie between UY and Inuyasha. I guess that all those fanboys of Inuyasha from some years ago are all into Naruto/Bleach nowadays.

Ranma ½ hands down. I just saw it for the first time only recently but it's become one of my all-time favorites, and I think it's one of the best anime & manga ever.

Ranma & Akane's relationship just makes me love Life, simple as that.

looovfe ranma 1/2 i got most of the music on my ipod except for the movies and it'll be nice if i had an Onna Ranma action figure :/. i love ranma 1/2 cause i loved the martial arts move and i like kung fu (but never get a chance to take a class or anything like that for it :/) i also like ranma 1/2 cause its really intresting how ranma gets splashed by cold water and turns into a girl and acts all tomboyish and mad while he's a girl its really cool ^_^

A tie between Maison Ikkoku and Urusei Yatsura. :)

UY is a long series like her others and yet I never really felt it was repetitive with all it's running gags unlike her other (yet awesome) series such as InuYasha and Ranma 1/2- even though, technically, it used them almost as much as the others. The fillers were entertaining and as for her standard "Takahashi" argumentive couple- Lum and Ataru are the cutest to watch because Ataru IMO is probably the cruelest out of all Takahashi-sensei's lead males, which makes his kind moments the most heartwarming <3

Maison Ikkoku is such a good story and a classic anime- plus, this was Takahashi-sensei's first "realistic" work for the most part and she could have flubbed it up but she didn't which makes the series so amazing!

InuYasha I give props to because it was her most action-packed, "mature" series that wasn't as dark as Mermaid Saga and not as crazy as UY or Ranma; and wasn't as lighthearted as Maison Ikkoku even if both had the most serious character development out of all her works.

Ranma 1/2 is probably my least favorite out of all of them- but don't get me wrong I love it to pieces but I guess it just didn't go as deep IMO as the other 3.

I haven't read One Pound Gospel or Mermaid Saga yet but I have heard so much about them and I hope they are just as good!

Ranma 1/2 is the only anime that I could watch over and over again and I also read the manga, but I also adore Inuyasha! Altough I don't think I'd have the patience to read the whole manga (I just read my fav. episodes form the anime)

and btw, something is missing: Kyoukai no RINNE, her latest work :)

Inuyasha is my top fav and Rinne follows. I fear Rinne won't end because of Rumiko's age... I mean hope she lives a lot more and finishes it but I'm worried. What do you think?
I hope in Sakura x Rinne end, it has to happen. Please!
