| Hm, sort of confused here of what you want. Is it: 1)Good protagonist that turns into the anti-hero/villian? 2)Good protagonist starts to fall for the anti-hero/villian? If it's number 1, hm, only thing I could think of is Texhnolyze, though I'm guessing the art may be too dated. Edit: Sorry to thrown in another dated anime but, Legend of the Galactic Heroes could fit to a degree. |

| http://myanimelist.net/anime/7724/Shiki - I also think this one is relevant. Seriously, though... Don't be fooled by the animation quality of Katanagatari, OP. It may look like it is meant for kids, but it is NOT. It's freaking awesome. Especially towards the end. |

| Fate/zero, as mentioned above, arguably qualifies. Other than that...the best fit I can think of is Kaze no Stigma. I don't know if I'd recommend it - it's not bad, but it's not exactly good - but it fits the bill. |
