| God what an annoying episode. Members of the Mizusawa karuta club are getting so easily provoked by little things, the reader is totally off-beat, and Tsuboguchi, a man who I thought was respectable, is resorting to cheap tactics to ensure victory. I don't need to see some touchy feely backstory about the opposing team either. Let me see the fruits of Misuzawa's training. I get that they won but it really should've been an easier victory for them, especially Taichi. |

| That was so intense! This is what I love so much about Chihayafuru ^^ The two girls saying Taichi's luck is bad were really funny lol I love Taichi so much! He's so cool, and he seems very dependable. But deep down he's still a human, and maybe he's that way because he's compensating for what he believes to be a lack of talent. But it was so great seeing him beat his opponent at the end there. But the icing on the cake of this episode was definitely Chihaya handing her towel to Taichi! My heart can only take so much cute moments. It was already funny how all those women threw their towels at Taichi (Kana's mom lol), but Chihaya's pure smile ^^ Bet that melted Taichi's heart right then and there. To a lot of people she may seem focused on only one thing - that is , Karuta - but in reality she pays attention to people a lot. She cares so much about others. We saw that too in the previous arc about getting the first years in. If all she cared about was karuta, and specifically her karuta, she wouldn't have bothered, just like the others. And especially when it comes to Arata and Taichi, she's definitely watching! Man, I love this series so much. |

| Until now having a capable reader was taken for granted but having one that is quite offbeat makes things really though...especially for Taichi's with his horrible luck...good thing he managed to pull through with his skills and crazy memorization Seeing Taichi ask for a towel and Chihaya with that heavenly smile giving him one really was too lovely, making me ship them even harder. |

| Everything about the towel scene was just amazing, but Chihaya's big goofy smile was way funnier than it had any right to be lmao So damn satisfying to see Dr. Harada's advice and Taichi's perseverance pay off. Now all he needs is a fraction of that luck when he tries for Class A for the ...fourth time now? |
