| I think Yozora would make for an interesting antagonist character, but as a protagonist and someone the viewer is supposed to root for (on at least some level, anyway) she is utterly repulsive, unlikable and downright toxic towards others. Most of her interactions with Sena are just downright cruel for the sake of being cruel, even down to the dehumanising nickname "Meat". It doesn't help in a lot of these cases that the show implicitly supports her actions by not having anyone step in or Yozora ever really be "punished" for her actions. I can recognise that, by this cliche-fest's standards at least, she's a well-written character, but she's a terrible person who 100% deserves to have no friends. |
