I still have a lot on my PTW list.. and I just cant seem to start with them... I delay them by a lot and I probably will never start a new one, and still post on in these forums here.

I do that all the time. I don't even bother putting most shows on my PTW list anymore. If someone recommends an anime and I don't start it that day, I most likely won't watch it until much, much later if at all.

Yeah, I tend to procrastinate when it comes to things I "plan" to watch. Especially if I'm not likely to enjoy them.

Yes, I think I have some titles that been on my PTW list for half a year or longer now... Lmao. Though considering a large majority of my PTW is series unaired or movies unreleased (dvd/bd), it isn't much of a problem for me. These days, I mostly just use my PTW list to keep track of new airing titles and just watch new anime that interest me at random.

Yeah, I doubt I'm going to watch anything on my PTW list any time soon, well with the exception of the entries that have not yet aired.

Nope, I only use the PTW as a list of upcoming anime that I want to see, I don't put completed shows that I have no interest in on it.

Most stuff in my PTW is a reference as to what anime I currently have with me.
I might watch something, someday. :P

There's some things that were high priority on my waiting list last spring that I still haven't gotten around to. I usually get side tracked because I randomly find interesting looking titles that I pick up as spur of the moment. It's not that I don't want to watch those other titles one day, it's just I feel like there's more interesting things to watch first.

I have stuff on there for ages but that's because my PTW list is huge. It's only just now that my Completed list is about equal to it - it had surpassed it momentarily but then I added more. Rest assured, I plan to clear it, but it's a work in progress.

Of course, once I've cleared it, then I suppose I'll just add more! HAHAHAHAHA!

I only watch things in my ptw list if I feel like watching them

My PTW list only grows, it never gets less. I guess it's because I start watching stuff that are not even in my PTW list. I had made a vow to myself not to have more than 20 anime of my currently watching list, but it's too bad. I've got 55 now (haven't updated Naruto Shippuden from On Hold list yet) and barely a quarter of them came from my PTW list.

I put stuff in my PTW list that looks interesting to me, and don't want to forget. I'll watch them all eventually, though it'll just keep growing continually.

Same here, but the problem with me is, I find it oh so tedious to choose which anime I should watch 1st.

As long as I have 40+ airing series to watch, I don't have time to start new stuff anyway. I tend to have more of a problem finishing series, even if I like them. Starting one is always easy.
I probably regret this post by now.

My PTW never stops growing. Even when I do watch some thing on it, all it does it make me want to the movies, and the OVAs, and the specials, etc. All of which are added to my PTW, so I might chip one title off my PTW only to add 4 more. Its at the point where I don't even plan what I watch now. Its just spur of the moment at this point.

I have a pretty lengthy PTW list. But that's because while I could burn through series quickly if I put the effort into it I tend to get distracted or I'll go game for hours and it takes me a while to finish a series. And then I go through phases where all I'll do is watch anime. And then other times all I'll do is read manga, or play video games, or draw and these other obsessions distract me from anime but I still add things to my PTW list because I want to watch them. I just takes me some time to get around to them. Especially with all the newly airing shows I really don't bother starting new series that are already finished.

I don't watch much anime nowadays, so I like having a big PTW list so I have a list of things that I thought, at some point, I would like. I won't remember most of them, or even what they look like, which works for me since I like watching things without knowing anything. When I want to watch something I go down my PTW list and pick out things that have interesting names and go from there.

To keep track of anime they want to watch.

For me I have the habit of watching a totally different anime that isn't on my PTW or rewatching shows more than watching a show on my PTW.

So they can watch it later? It's not like we do that in one go, it slowly grows up as we watch other anime.

Well, I put everythin on there that I might be inclined to watch someday. I can't predict when I'm in the mood for what kind of show so I collect as many interesting ones I can. I also use my ptw to collect series that haven't been subbed but that I'd love to see at some point, so I don't forget about them.
I probably regret this post by now.

That's often my problem with my PTW list as well. For me my PTW is really just a list of series I thought looked interesting; whether I actually watch the series or not depends on if I'm ever in the mood to sit down and watch it. And finishing it depends on if it holds my interest.

(I've got some series that have been on my PTW for probably two years now)

Just like what people here have said, it's to remember the titles they wanted to watch. I also do that most of the time. I have plans to watch them (as the name of the list suggest), the only question is when.

Yeah I know that feeling too. It happens to me all the time. I have no problems starting a new series. I get distracted easily so I have problems in continuing those I've already started.

Quite often, I decide to rewatch something right before I start something new.
I'm also filled with pure-hearted ulterior motives.

Totally this.

SnS series was in my PTW list for 2-3 years(Don't mind the date that I joined because this is my 2nd account) until last year.

Basically everything that seems interesting enough makes it on my PTW list. And 90% of these I actually do intend to watch. However I do put off on watching stuff I have HIGH expectations of. And I'm more likely to watch something that I just recently added or discovered.

I often will watch a few episodes without taking the series off my PTW list. I usually only move it to my "currently watching" list when I think I'm going to actively watch it.

Nah, I put series profiles into bookmarks, that's my ptw because I'm only logged in when I add anime to my list.

My problem is not at starting new anime, but if I for any reason get the "ehhh" feeling while watching and have some other ongoing series, stuff ends up going to hiatus for who knows how long, and then it becomes an issue. Hell, I *still* haven't completed Cowboy Bebop because I just stopped watching it at some point something like four years ago. Now I'd have to rewatch the whole thing and needing to do that after a hiatus is such a pain.

Just 23 anime PTW list is not a lot. I have 150 and no problem to start a new one. I do this:
1.Pick 2 that look the most interesting
2.Toss a coin
3.Watch whichever one won the toss, then the other one...
