what is some long anime like :
Onegai my melody
Jewel Pet Tinkle
mirmo
etc... ? I guess that's all in that genre like childishness/Romance (the main characters must be in middle school)

Could try Hidamari Sketch. The whole series adds up to 48+ episodes (not including OVAs).

And: Daa! Daa! Daa! (ufo baby) Currently watching it myself. Very enjoyable.
Sket Dance. Awesome school comedy! (are 77 eps enough?)
Gintama (haven't watched it myself but you'll go holy shit if you see how many eps it thas)
Chi's Sweet Home (104 eps but all 2mins long. Still very cute about a lost kitty)
Powerpuff girls Z (yes it's an anime)
