| According to Shonen GanGan magazine, Saki: Achiga-hen - Episode of Side-A Specials was extended to four episodes. Director Ono Manabu said the length of each episode on AT-X channel (27 min) is longer than the normal TV format (20 min), so the total length will be equivalent to more than five episodes. Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them? I wonder how long people would put up with this. As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series. |

If you bothered to take the 30 seconds to click on my anime list, hit cntrl+f and type "Saki" you'd see I dropped the series. I did watch three episodes if not a little more, but I don't think I put that info into MAL besides the fact I dropped it. Know that I have seen several episodes, and I'm not impressed. I'm not going to watch an entire series I don't enjoy after the first several episodes. Dropping an anime after one or two episodes isn't fair in my book. Anywho c,: think before you speak mayn. Besides, I've seen that most people either like it or think it's "okay". Wouldn't that make me the minority for not liking it? | I love Achiga Hen on it's own, for all the moe girls and the awesome seiyu cast, but mahjong is seriously boring as fuck. Especially since they don't even try to portray it realistically, but made some kind of Yu Gi Oh edition out of it with girls having special powers and shooting arrows at each other in the middle of a match and other fucked up shit.... Show could've been much much better Still, really glad about this announcement! |

Anyways, this is a bit problematic. Achiga's pacing is already horrendous. Of course, judging from the latest chapter, it wouldn't really fit in 15 episodes. But this problem wouldn't have happened if they decided to make Achiga 2-cour instead. Like. 1-12 during last year and the remaining episodes now. More Saki is still good but I hope they don't have pacing issues again. |
