I will check it out too, I'm pretty curious, though I won't get my hopes up.

Actually, I'm not expecting anything, I think it will be a failure. Rarely do movies turn out good in comparison to the manga/anime. Kuroshitsuji is gold the way it is, this is just a way to squeeze out more money. I will probably watch it, but I don't expect anything of it.

Whaaa? I wouldn't say that Kuroshitsuji is the best story for live action movie but then... Who knows? Musical wasn't half that bad, actually ;)

I thought Mizushima-san quit being an actor. Then this is a good news. I think he is chosen based on his performance as a butler in Mei-chan no Shitsuji. I really look forward to it!!!

I'm really curious now! Excited too; even though live actions tend to be, well, not-so-great at times, I still hope that this will turn out well.

I personally like that it's a original story set 130 years after the manga, gives room for some new things, y'know.

So...no Ciel, in other words, if it's taking place 130 years in the future? Such a pity, since his rapport with Sebastian was what made the show so good.

yes. i can't imagine kuroshitsuji without ciel o_o

So no Ciel?

I have big doubts about this being any good. :/

The original story part bugs me. It could either give them enough cinematic licence to do something awesome or completely ruin the vibe of Kuroshitsuji itself.

I mean would it still be set in London then? Or will they move it to Japan?

I'm curious to see how this'll turn out. The story sounds interesting. If there's no Ciel and it's set in the future then I want to know what happens to Sebastian and how the story will lead from there.
Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of live action so I'm gonna pass, but I might have a peek at the beginning.

The story is an original, which takes place 130 years after the episodes of the manga.

Modern version so much? Welp, interesting.

I hope it goes well.
I'm really excited to see the finishing product but at the same time I don't want it to become a big miss.

Uuuuuuh yeah I honestly have a bad feeling for this. Especially considering that the story is going to be different and that it takes place 130 years after the manga *head desk*
However, I'm going to watch it anyway just to give it a try. Who knows, maybe it'll be good or it'll be the worse thing since the adaptation of Uzumaki *shutters*

I'm half excited, half worried that it'll flop... excited that it will be a modern version though, I'd imagine the original would be hard to replicate with human actors... (considering the stuff Sebastian does...too many special effects might have come off as rather cheesy)

Well I'll check it out, but I'm not expecting much out of it. Most of live actions I have seen were failures. It's not gonna have the same feel the anime/manga did.

Cool to see a live action movie coming out, besides the musical. Hiro seems like a good choice for Sebby imo, I wonder how the story will turn out.

I have some faith in this. Rurouni Kenshi adaptation turned out AMAZING. I enjoyed Phoenix Wright one too
No need to judge before we even watch the show.
As long as people don't compare everything to the anime, it's all fine really.

Their decision to make it original storyline probably have to the with the subtle yaoi vibe in the series. This will be air in the theater for everyone so it's understandable if they change it up a little.

I like Hiro so w/e

I mean how can someone do the inhuman activities Sebastian can do?

Yup~ example. Rurouni adaptation was freaking amazing, especially the action scenes.
So was Phoenix Wright. They even made the actors look the same as the game characters

As long as this movie was made in the same standards as the other two, it will turn out well.

Do people who say live actions tend to be bad only seen DBZ or something? Hana Kimi, the drama adaptation, was very popular in Japan. Rurouni Kenshin and Phoenix Wright are both box office hits and well received.

If it takes place 130 years after the episodes of the manga then I guess that makes it a modern day movie with Sebastian but not Ciel. It sounds interesting but I'd like to know more about the plot before I decide whether to watch it or not, seeing as the majority of the main characters will already be dead by then.

Kuroshitsuji as live action movie? Once a manga turns into anime, it's better to leave it until there. Will be able for Mizushima Hiro to have a similar tone of voice as Ono Daisuke did in the anime? I don't think that will work!

This doesn't surprise me in the slightest. I like Black Butler, but it's not my favorite, so I probably won't watch it.

I am excited! Not expecting it to knock my socks off or anything. But i can't help be excited for something taking place 130 years in the future. I am just happy they aren't going to mess up the story.
