Because: Synopsis says this > "Rather than a continuation of the previously animated Hayate no Gotoku seasons, this series will be independent and written by the author, Kenjiro Hata, himself." While : Related Anime says> Prequel: Hayate no Gotoku! Heaven Is a Place on Earth |

It has no character introductions and it somewhat continues some sort of story probably mixed story between maga and older anime. Even i ,who watched 1st two season of Hayate few years ago, can't recall all side characters and their roles and thus it felt like watching sequel before 1st season at least druring 1st 3-4 epsiodes. i think at least some knowledge of the franchise is needed before watching this. Guess its something between sequel to anime and manga. |
