The Yugi-Oh movie and the first Pokemon movie, both of which I still have the special trading cards from XD.

Yeah those cards... that's how i got to know that there was a Pokemon movie on the theaters; a guy i knew had this weird pokemon card (a dragonite) and he said that got it for watching the movie, since i was collecting'em all he gave it to me xD

Can't say I have. Minus maybe the pokemon films I never seen any of them play. But then again I rarely go to the movies.

The first Pokemon movie and the third Dragon Ball Z movie
(only the third, the ninth and the twelfth DBZ movies were aired in Brazilian theaters; the rest were released in VHS format)

I saw Trigun Badlands Rumble and Fullmetal Alchemist Sacred Star of Milos at my local art cinema.

Trigun was amazing, I grabbed the huge poster for a couple bucks.

And Arrietty of course.

The obligatory first three Pokemon movies when I was a kid.

As for Ghibli, I saw Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, Ponyo and Arrietty when they were in theaters.

And I had the privilege of seeing Kiki's Delivery Service, Laputa, Princess Mononoke and Porco Rosso at a museum during a travelling Ghibli film festival thing. Japanese audio, subtitles, on 35mm. They were godly.

I saw Mononoke Hime at a tiny one-screen theater when it made its US debut.

There must've been about ten people at the showing. Most of them didn't really look like anime fans. Mostly middle-aged men and women. The tagline on the marquee? "Princess Mononoke - Like Pokemon For Adults!" Pretty embarrassing, but that didn't stop me.

Unfortunately no. I would have liked to see more animes in theaters because there are a lot of good ones... only anime movies that ever go to theaters are Studio Ghibli.

I think they show every new Hayao Miyazaki movie and when the first two Pokémon movies came out they showed those in Finland, too. But can't remember anything else.

@Eldest If you didn't like the pacing of Madoka the show, maybe you'll like the movies more. It gets straight to the point with everything but I felt that it killed the suspense of the TV show. You don't have enough time to think about what happens next because as soon as you start thinking, that event happens. Still, for a recap it's absolutely amazing. It fits in everything and improves on a lot of things.

There's no details about Eva 3.0's screening. All Madman have said is that they'll be doing one later this year to coincide with the Evangelion art exhibition.

They screen anime movies sometimes around here in Los Angeles, but you have to be on some nerd's mailing list to even know about it. Advertising fail. It's like foreign music artists who thought it would be cool to hold concerts in the great America for their 13 fangirls on Youtube. Booked for some random weekday night so they could hold a press junkit and put it on their overpriced Blu-ray limited release.
