| Yeah, it was an awesome episode. It was actually mostly filler with the fight, but I honestly didn't care. The animation was top-notch, as was the fight direction, I look forward to the episodes up until the end of the year (and beyond!). |

| it has been a long time since we have seen a good episode of naruto. they actually did more h2h combat than ninja techniques. it was probably done to buy some time but it added style to the episode. well in two weeks we get to see the ultimate technique weeee! |
| wow just like said above, its been such a long time since a good episode of naruto overall awesome episode, with the same type of animation as the Asuma Funeral episode 82? felt like a movie, keeping us on the edge great fight scenes however its only really shikamaru/kakashi vs hidan/kakuzu cuz ino and choji are god dam useless looking forward to next episode, even if its in 2 weeks -_- |

| Good episode. The filler fighting was pretty good, fairly well thought out. I love the animators they use for these episodes, it really brings out the best in the series, unlike the episodes where the animators seem more like interns. |

| Amazing episode. Naruto is really shaping up again. Now it just sucks to wait 2 weeks to find out what happens next! ahhh... p.s. Anyone starting to think that Shikamaru is actually a lot more talented then Naruto and pretty much any other character his age thus far? Naruto made 1 new move... wow clap clap... it looks like Shikamaru has learned almost everything about how to use his Jutsu whereas Naruto can only make Rasengans and shadow clones... and of course turn into a badass 4 tailed fox... but other than that... yeah man Shikamaru I gotta say has 1-UPd everyone except for maybe Kakashi... p.p.s. I think Naruto needs to make use of his toad summoning abilities once in awhile... right? |

| This was an awesome episode, I read the manga, and i was surprised that it include scenes that weren't really in the manga. I really wish that episode 86 would come sooner. the animation was also nice, actually, it was awesome. I like the part where Chouji suddenly attacks. |

| Awesome episode and great animation! i wished this kind of animation was throughout the whole seasons but its noticed that they use this animation when there is alot of fights scenes. Its was really good how they included extra scenes into this episode and making it work along with the original storyline in the manga!! So a week break but a hour long special to look forward to including Naruto's new power!! |

| YAY FOR WONDERFUL WONDERFUL ANIMATION!!! great episode! 10/10. on the edge of my seat the whole time. why can't they use these animators for every episode!? looks like the next episode's going to be a flashback filled, poorly animated, one hour-long filler :( BUT SERIOUSLY THE BEST EPISODE IN SHIPPUUDEN SO FAR. |

| I was really surprised by this episode. They usually take forever getting to the "sweet action", but this episode was full of it. Looking forward to episode 86. |
| While the episode was good, I have to say I'm not a fan of the animation for this one. They always seem to go this route whenever it's a big fight sequence, and will be doing lots of flips and whatnot. The characters all look like they suddenly got a tan. Oh well. Gotta wait two weeks for the series to come back (oh joy), and they're going back to their original animation. That's fine. Hopefully we'll finally see that new technique, although admittedly it's not perfected yet. |

| Such a beautifully animated episode. This direction is the way the rest of the series should be! I'm hearing that a lot of this was filler, but this is absolustely the kind of filler that I don't mind; action oriented, non-stare filled episdoes. |
| AAAAHHH !!! Did they just HAVE to do SUCH a big cliffhanger again :S ? And as if just that isn't enough, they're gonna make us wait TWO weeks for it !! :( Loved the episode , quite good one . I was still a bit dissappointed though to see Chouji get beaten that fast , SURELY he can do better !! About Ino.... well... she's just really frikkin useless in my eyes xD OMG ! Suprised about that Kakuzu fact !! He fought with 1st hokage and EVEN MADE IT OUT ALIVE !? ... darn... Cmon Kakashi, start using your jutsu's and raepe that bastard ! |

| Hidan is probably one of the best voiced characters on Shippuuden ATM! He's absolutely hilarious XD The voice actor is really doing the character justice, that's for sure! |

| I enjoyed this episode a lot because of the combat. Nice to see a little more hand to hand comba in Naruto which has been missing. Straight jutsu matches ore so predictable. Anyhow, Kakashi is put up a great fight with the X-asuma team and shikamaru was finally able to seperate Hidan. Also, that other akatsuki guy fought the 1st hokage. (Was so shocked) I must admit akatsuki member are all super freaks and i must admit i am loving it. I felt bad when hidan was finally able to get shikamaru blood but i doubt he will die. I dont read manga because i am i 2d man lol |

| Yay for the awesome episode. It's about time they start moving up in quality in Shippuuden. I don't read the manga, so I couldn't tell that the fighting was filler because they did it so well. Geez I wish this kind of quality continues in the special, not even animation wise, just in the way it's directed. |

| I never read manga, but I know that Shika is going to kill Hidan, and I simply can't wait to see that. Since Shikamaru is my favorite character, and Hidan is overconfident, I will enjoy seeing his loss.... Also, every move Shika moves is pure awesomeness, and the same is going to be this fight....I must say that Kakashi is next to Shika in my list, and he is the only one capable of distracting other oppo. I can't wait to see episodes 86/87, just to see how Shika made fool of Hidan.....and I am sure he will do that, he always did, he always will....if it wasn't for Shika, i would have stopped watching this show long time ago...Genius by birth, lazy by choice. |
| One of the few Shippudens where I can say: "That was awesome!" And indeed it was. The animation was just great and it fit excellently with the way the fight scenes were presented. Still loving Hidan and Kakuzu - but I've gained totally new respect for Kakashi. Damn he's a total badass~ xD The next special should be presented/directed like this episode :) |
