THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------

Whoa, apparently, the finale aired today as well.

The beginning showed a little of Ogami training with Hitomi. And here we go, the fight is on! Seems like Hitomi is charging up while Ogami is getting fired up as well.

The fight was kinda predictable and Hitomi finally gets what he deserves. Overall, a 6/10 on this series for me this season. Might check out the OVA also.

Wait, what? Seriously? It didn't go anywhere except to the end of the first arc which wasn't even that long in the manga!

Yeah, ep.12 and 13 aired on MBS this week.

Fire that stops electricity... Wow. But 01 is already at code end. So that's why he did those actions. And that fight without using the power.

Last moment of 01's change of heart, but then the president is heartless until the end (like what he said to his own son last ep. and to 01 this ep.).

NamiDai's character? A white hair guy who looks like Nobu's character... A new Code Breaker?

OP as ED.

...Seeker...-____-"

OK, the seiyuus are probably the only real merit I'll ever give to the anime. Just have to love it. Other stuff...meh. -_-"

But...finally, the first glimpse of Rui's shyness. Though she doesn't go around headbutting everything around her. XD

I'm no longer sure if they're going to have second season or not now. I mean...sure, if Seeker and Kouji are shown, it might possibly hint to the sequel...but they missed out two most important thing during Hitomi's battle that is extremely vital in driving the story onward.

I'll definitely watch the OVA. I need some comedy in CB, since they seriously cut out almost every single thing in there. Hoping that the sequel will be announced during the OVA or afterward...if it's even possible.

I must say that I kept watching this anime because I love the manga, but let's be honest, Code:Breaker fans, who loves Kamijyo Akimine sensei works... this anime was a total disappointment. I knew they couldn't put the whole story of C:B in only 13 episodes... but it was poorly adapted. Ok, the manga isn't the bestseller, but it's a good manga. I really like the manga, despite also having ups and downs. Well, for me:

Code: Breaker anime 4 or 5/10... Code: Breaker manga 9/10.
english isn't my native language...

The Good:

- The animation was good, other than that absolutely nothing.

The Bad:

- The whole fight with Hitomi continues and is remarkably lackluster. The fight spanned over four episodes and still wasn't even half as interesting as it was in the manga.

- Ogami sounds as if he is about to break down in tears. Out of character much?

- The whole fight feels contrived and corny. In the manga Hitomi had a lot of fans because he managed to be somewhat sympathetic. In the anime he fails at this and any attempt to show us his goals just make it feel like he was given a sobstory.

The Ugly:

- Once Hitomi is defeated we later have a scene where Sakura meets all the Code:Numbers, everyone except Ogami and Heike. One after another they meet up with her on her way to school to have a chat. It's a complete waste of time is incredibly corny.

- Aoba, Tsubomi and Momiji just appear in class and we are told NOTHING of what happened with them. Sakura doesn't know what happened to them and non of them seem the worse for wear. Sure as readers of the manga we can pretty much figure out why these girls are unhurt... but unless they make another season and even if they do, having these girls get blown up and then show up in class as if nothing had happened is just BAD... really bad!!

Yeah Seeker... never cared about him as a character since I always felt they rushed everything about him in the manga. As for a second Season, if you check the official aniome page you will notice they have made room for a lot of possible future Blue rays... so the possibility now is at least bigger than it was a month ago.

...Make what room? I only see room for Blu-Ray vol.1-7 though, and each Blu-ray will probably contain 2 episodes + omake OVA or drama CD (though vol.1 only have episode 1 + tons of omakes...drama CD tracks (one about C:Bs working in a host club, another about quiz competition...they're both supposed to be comedic. I've listen to samples of both already, and they're actually very enjoyable...Shibuya is also in it), first PV, non-credit OP/ED, makings and stuff). What room are you talking about? -_-"

Haha I guess nobody wanted to sub this cuz it was so bad.
Of all the characters, I especially hated Sakurakouji. She was just a horrible taste in my mouth that never went away. the show should have just killed her off in episode two when Ogami tried to burn her. If he couldn't kill her with fire, he could have just done it some other way duh.

Wow. I wish the prime minister died at least. But I guess it was enjoyable except for the fact that they set up "bombs" instead of shooting or killing. Seriously. Bad guys should stop being idiots

3/10 I wanted to like this show so much

Just about the whole cast is hypocrites. Only likable people was Yukihina and Hitomi. The rest of them are dumb dogs. I use to hate Sakura with a passion but i realized she was just naive. On the other hand the code breakers are way worse than Sakura are not naive just plain stupid. I did read some spoilers so i kind of know what happens. Just from the anime stand point they are dumb.

I'm pretty sure the manga is better but the anime left a bad taste in my mouth.

I highly doubt they will be a season 2 but who knows.

I told myself that I would read the manga after this last episode but I took it on before the end ep anyway, and yes, the MANGA IS WAYYY AWESOME!!! the anime presented it so bad, I read the manga from the start. I cant believe they did it this way, and yes, this arc felt so small in the manga, they blew it up here. And I doubt that there'll be a season 2. they probably just showed Code:Seeker to tease the fans, but the important elements that would really spell a possibility (key, dec, heike), weren't shown at all. :<

I'm gonna roll over my feels for the manga. It's tossing all my feels around. I really wish the anime could have followed the manga. I always prefer watching than reading. oh well, guess we cant have it anymore. T^T I feel awful for wanting to rate the anime low, but...sighs...

<<<<<First of all Happy New Year to all MyAnimeList Members and Administrators.>>>>>

Just watched episode 13 and i am wondering "WTF???" The fight between ogami and hitomi was such a waste. It took 4 episodes for it to complete.

I am so disappointed with this show from romance prospective, i was hoping that there will be some relationship between sakurakoji and ogami in future but he never even showed up to meet sakurakoji before leaving at the end. All the other members met her to say farewell except him, its very odd and frustrating.

If we see this show from action prospective, then its good in that category.
But romance part sucks as hell.

It was good to see some flirting comedy at the beginning of the series, but it didn't last long.

Also one thing more i noticed its that character behavior, have you ever noticed the way sakurakoji talks? If you have then you are certainly good with animes. But this behavior suits her.

Season 2>>
From what i think, there will be season 2 of this anime, otherwise, for sakurakoji being a rare kind would be useless.

Also in the last episode, ogami finally reveals his true strength against hitomi, and it was like he was the strongest of all. It will be a complete waste if there is no second season.

The fun just begins from here....

What i didn't understand>>
At the last of the credits i saw "CODE:FOREVER" What's that???

I will give this anime 6 out of 10, Its such a waste to expect anything romantic from ogami, If at least he could have met her at last. Still its a worth to watch, if u want only action, then this one got plenty of it.

I really liked some of the earlier episodes, but it kinda dropped in quality (in story) so it's just nothing that special. I didn't dislike it as much as some of you here, but I will not rate it higher than 7/10.
Some wasted potential unfortunately, so many thing were lefet unexplained.
Still enjoyed watching it though.

Actually said this to manga readers before as well, but don't expect romance so much from CB. If romance is what you're looking forward to, then don't watch this anime. Romantic element doesn't appear until around chapter 100 of the manga...Anime? Dream on. They cut out ALL the comedic parts. No way they'd leave any romance in this one. The anime staffs clearly seem not to want anything to "taint their dark mood". No laughter...and of course, no pink. :S

Also, second season has pretty much become impossible thanks to how they left out a lot of the most important things that'll be necessary in driving the story onward during the last battle before Hitomi dies.

I give this anime 2/10. Seriously. I'm someone who always at least take neutral stance no matter how mad everyone is talking about any anime, but this shitty piece of crap is beyond intolerable. I only give it 2/10 because I'll give some merit to the seiyuus of the show...since otherwise, I'll give it 1/10. This show is the first show that ever can ever make me feel completely disappointed, and up to criticizing it every single week, despite of me being the manga fan. Those anime staffs are really being an idiot for cutting out all the charm of the series. There's not even a slightest bit of comedy in it. No explanation of why the power is the way they are except for the one that came out of the manga (Ogami's fire being a conductor for electricity). They change people's powers, their strength and their affinity with other power just for the sake of their own convenience. They put in unnecessary scene of Sakura's past, yet decide to COMPLETELY alter other character and think that's justifiable. They slap in "white Ogami" and Sakura's past, but left out something a WHOLE LOT more crucial for the continuation of the series. I just wish they never make this piece of crap at all, seriously. Good that it ends. Now, don't you touch anymore of this, stupid anime staffs. Your shit is nothing but a disgrace to such a good manga.

PS. Ogami's true strength? Not even close, and I bet you'll never really see his "true power" in the anime anyway. -.-"

6/10
I thought about properly listing my reasons for that but it's simply not worth it. It was average and barely good enough not to be dropped midway through. I can't judge the show while including the manga since I haven't read the latter so I can only rate what I saw in the anime.

*Sigh*
Why the fuck do the battle-shounen from Weekly Shounen Magazine always get AWFUL adaptations?

These are just recent/newer ones:

Fairy Tail - Censored to the max, but thank God it become popular and is a long runner

Air Gear - Fuck 25 episodes, Cliffhanger ending. Great, but rushed Ova's.

Negima - Shit adaptation of the first arc (which I dropped early) + shit alternative universe series. Atleast the Ova's were good. Final, shitty alternative ending movie.

Code Breaker - "Hey! Let's fuck up another one of their manga. We'll add shit, we'll remove shit, we'll change shit, we'll rush shit, we'll explain shit, we'll just make this so bad that it won't even attract the audience to the manga."

Mission accomplished.

I'll give a super generous 7/10.
Real rating, 4/10

I can atleast put voices to the characters now when I read the manga, I've seen some of the beloved characters fully animated, got a good OP song.

This is the way Code:Breaker ends:
Not with a bang but a whimper. *sigh*

Absolutely disappointing. First several episodes were somewhat generic but I still found them enjoyable (despite stupid school stuff). However, the second half...that was utter waste of time. They somehow managed to kill all the potential the show had. And this final episode was a fitting, trite, feeble and anticlimactic ending to that mess.
Good to see Sakura remained true to her character to the very end: it wouldn't be Code:Breaker without at least one instance of her dumb and ignorant preaching.

I thought about raging and dissecting all the reasons why I think this anime sucked (characterization, writing, plot progression, focusing to much on Sakurafuckingkouji) but I realized I don't care enough.

1,5/5 for the episode and 4/10 for the whole show. I won't miss it and probably won't even remember most of it in a couple of months.

I don't want to beat a dead horse but I was very disappointed with how this series unfolded. I'm the kind that is easily amused and laid back with my ratings but for this one I'm going to have to slap down a 6/10.

And honestly Sakurakouji had me frustrated to the very end with all of her "There must be another way--" and "Hitomi-senpai-dono-sama-sensei-san!". She ended the series as naively as she started and I can see why Ogami got the hell out of there ASAP.

Nice episode but is this really the end..? If it is, I sure hope there's another season instead of just an OVA >.< I have yet to see the true significance of Sakura and her being the/one of the "rare species"! Also, I thought she was going to save Hitomi as well; kyaa, expectations were not met! Well, the ending of this episode was pretty darn sad yet bittersweet - they all left! T.T

Also, they introduced a new character on the last episode.. What? Not fair! Maybe they'll explain in the OVA (though it's probably better with another season)

Overall, this series was pretty good^^ Low-to-medium 8/10 for me~ (quite high compared to others I see.. Then again I rate off of my entertainment and enjoyment)

^ Wow an 8...that means almost every other show must be a 10 on that scale.

The only good thing about this entire show was when Ogami released his true power bc that was pretty legit.

I feel for the manga fans from the comments. Super mediocre and glad it is over. Don't want an S2 and don't see the point in them talking about the greater evil and showing the new characters to actually end the episode like they did. Whatever. 5-6/10

actually its likely due to ppl actually having a life/holiday seasons, i know there were a few sub groups who were behind because a few members were spending time with their families over the holidays

side note to someone elses comment: talkin about how they cant have s2 cuz they left out this and that, kind of a moot point when also saying they havent been faithful to the manga as it is lol (havent read any manga's myself, except i think the mirai nikki ending after watching the anime's ending...)

Well that was ridiculous.

The best thing about this show for me was definitely the humor - Toki and Yuki in particular. Sadly though it was the only redeeming feature... Sakurakoji's character fizzled out big time in the end. A weak 5/10 from me.

The series was enjoyable so a 7/10 from me.
The Ogami gaining his true power was stupid and unexplained.
I would watch a second season though.

7/10 . Everything felt kinda awkward.. and Sakura wanted to save world without causing any evil.. thats very nice are pure thought.. but for that lot of people need effort for centuries to actually succeed in that.. but sadly world is rotten and changing it in mormal means is impossible.. and there will always darkness.

Thats why people need to know. There is darkness and light. Living in em both, but staying yourself is best..

What im trying to say.. Hitomi wasnt wrong.. nor Sakura group was wrong.. just 1 side choose to force a change. While other chose to slowly make a change.
Hitomi would probably only cause temporal change since it would be forced..
While Sakuras idea of chaning would do bigger and better chenge.. i mean by her means.. world would keep and keep having more simiilar people.. but ofcourse there always would still be dark.

So everything else was nice 8/10 but idea of "right" and "wrong way" doing things lowered score to 7/10

In the end Sakura didn't do anything, did she?

It was a disappointing adaption indeed, I doubt there will be a season 2.
