Obviously, not going to count these. - Did not finish. Some of these will probably be dropped. Past Uta koi, it's really just varying degress of badness, and they might be rearranged in nearly any combination as far as I'm concerned. That means I didn't like nearly 50% of all the shows I watched. It's both time and energy consuming to watch 13 episodes per day, but when I'm not enjoying them in the least, it really gets hard. I was watching Rosario and started regretting the time I've spent on it, then I remembered Aria and that was that, I paused for a few days before finally jumping ahead to Yojouhan. Past that, I'm interested in Jing (on my PTW before the challenge) and Gokusen (will add to PTW, sounds like Onizuka for older audiences), I recommend Baccano!, Kino and Now and then to anyone who hasn't seen them, and I'm super glad I've avoided Vampire Knight and Joshiraku (a show I dropped while it was still airing). I have no interest in Touch, but I might give Yamato a go one day. Total days: 18 (1-17, 20) A disappointment: Yakushiji Ryouko no kaiki jikenbo - didn't expect it to be stellar, but never for a second did I think it might be *atrocious*. A surprise: Record of Lodoss War - I mentioned this already, the suprise being it's a Western high fantasy show. Sort of refreshing in this bland MMORPG age. Genre errors: Yojouhan Shinwa Taikei. Not that "psychological" is a genre, but this thing is mistagged any way you look at it. It's a comedy, in case you were wondering. |

Well, I have some good hopes for the tittles I picked for my PTW list. I guess noone managed to complete the challenge - I was planning to complete it but too bad I didn't have time for it at all... Well, New year holidays are comming up, so I got some plans and hopes for finishing the challenge (even though it wont be in time I still want to complete it >_> )... If someone actually managed to finish everything in time but didn't take part in the discussion - when it was a little pointless since the main idea was connected with discussion at first place... But I didnt see our "guild master" for a while and really wonder if he managed to finish the challenge he started oO Anyway, during the challenge I found some interesting things...and some disappointing things aswell. Not really a favorite, but something I really liked was "Koi Kaze". It was somewhat a surprise aswell - I'm not a huge fan of romance anime, but this one showed a really problematic relations and had good developed characters and plot. Real surprise: Baka to Test - if the jokes were not repeated multiple times and the idea of classes change was developed into something interesting then the anime could have become a good school setting comedy. Too bad whole potential was lost. Disappointment: Aria - yep, I knew from the begining this anime not gonna be brilliant but due to so many reviews and enthusiastic posts all over MAL about "Aria" beeing so great and a "must see anime" I was expecting something good... all I got were annoying characters and plotless story with "miracles". Losing 4 hours on such a bad anime makes me sad. Anime in category "so bad its good": Yakushiji Ryouko no kaiki jikenbo - the whole detective part is bullshit, I didnt manage to get why would they mix normal cases with supernatural and even alians...But ok, that not the point. Entertainment wise it was fun, I dont regret watching it...Oh, yeah, and i liked Izumida :) On the other note: such a challenge seems pretty interesting, I was thinking of making something like that for myself - watching anime by genres - otherwise i will never be able to clean my growing PTW =_= ... I will probably do it during new year holidays but with no episode limits of'course. |
