| Hahaha the beginning still cracks me up as I watch it again. Was Minorin just spouting gibberish in the beginning or was she actually saying a word in japanese funny? Agree about the pool scene, that's a +1 for Taiga. |

| Freaking brilliant episode. Possibly my favorite so far. Loved how Ryuuji bet 3000 on Taiga, and how Taiga suddenly started swimming for real when Ryuuji was "drowning". And of course, her strategy at the beginning was great. "I see hair" XD This episode pretty much sets Ryuuji x Taiga in stone (if it wasn't already). Ami stands no chance at all after that pool scene. |

| More misugi! And more Mickie Mouse hairdo. XD The lady luck was on Ami's side this time, allowing her to have the contest on 50m freestyle swimming against Taiga. I guess we could say it home field advantage, but this contest really motivated Taiga to bring her best effort, and made her bonding with Ryuuji closer. They even went so far training at public pool. But then again, there were Ryuuji x Taiga undertones all over this episode since the beginning. Also, I like how Minori even entrusted Taiga to Takasu. I believe Ryuuji's words actually motivated Taiga to win. She wanted victory but this time, not because of Kitamura's effort or her rival Ami. However Taiga was unable to properly express herself and didn't say what she want to say, which is her merit as a tsundere. She got upset after Takasu mistook her and she can't properly explain her actual feeling. At the end of that night, in the end it's the mother's wisdom that helped Ryuuji to understand more of poor Taiga. Finally, as the match starts this is where the FUN BEGINS! Taiga outsmarted Ami in 3 levels and dashed with her paddling! "I see hair" is winning strategy XDD Hate to see leg cramps in swimming competitions (soo cliché) but it does make good plot twist here. Ryuuji was worried and came to her, but ended up as victim of silly prank. And thus, while everybody was busy cheering for Ami.... Taiga came back for the rescue! Much kudos to Kugimiya Rie here. She brings her A+++ game working as Taiga, delivering emotional moments like no American voice actors can. "RYUUJI WA WATASHI NO DAAAAAAAAAAA!!! DARE MO SAWARUN JANAAAAAAAAAAIIIIII *cries*" And I'll leave it as that. What makes Toradora fun and respectable to watch is that unlike most anime in this genre, it's bound to logical attitudes and reactions of the people. I don't see bra getting pulled out and perverts get nosebleed, exaggerated misunderstandings with the girl typically gets pissed for days, stuff like that. Also, as much as I love looking at Ami's face and hearing her sweet-talk (love her referring herself in 3rd person), she's still manipulative and showing interest to get her relationship further with Ryuuji. I still don't get episode 6, but I like Ami-chan the way she is now. It seems Toradora meets summer holiday next week. Can't wait to see what they have in store. GIF/PIX TIME! |

| Ami certainly brings her assets to this show. The swimming contest was awesome, very creative. Taiga screaming "Ryuuji..." at the top of her lungs somehow seemed wrong for her character. She's probably changing because of him though so I guess it might be logical. Minori is just an accessory to the cast as this point, she doesn't really feature and honestly, I don't mind. Ami, Taiga and Ryuuji are more than enough to keep this show entertaining for now. |

| What a great episode. It was a nicely done and kept me surprised, since I wasn't expecting that outcome to happen. I can't wait for the next episode, the show really has me hooked on it now. |

| Taiga may not have the looks and skill, but she certainly had the smarts in this episode. I think Ryuuji's mom is on to Taiga's nature. And Taiga flipping out is understandable when you see it in the light of the events. She was just too worried about Ryuuji (remember she hadn't noticed Ryuuji had recovered conciousness by then). It's gonna be hard for her to admit to this feelings again under normal circumnstances though, hence why next episode they're back on their lusting over their respective "crushes". |

| Taiga is starting to remind me of Tamaki from Ouran XD! In the sense that, everything Tamaki said/thought/acted in relation to Haruhi got the "fatherly love" excuse. Now everything Taiga does that can be mistaken for romance gets the "dog" excuse. What can I say, I love dense characters XD. |

About the next episode..........Ami's villa? I wonder what the hell is going to happen there? Remember, a) There nowhere near anything safe: school teachers/police so anything can happen. b) That villa is probably in the middle of nowhere. My point: time for some confessions. Possibility? |

Too bad she's still under the impression Ryuuji and Taiga are an item. |

| So it's officially going to be Ryuuji/Taiga - it was always murky before this episode. Loved the "Ryuuji is mine!" part, but the crying afterwards was way overdone. Totally uncomfortable. lol! I still wish she'd appreciate him more. I also loved when he swiped her face and called her an idiot after she refused to have Kitamura ijnstruct her. That was a great moment. And although I love Rie's take on Taiga, I think her voice-acting in Zero no Tsukaima was better. Most adorable tsundere in the history of anime. |

| Loved this episode, Taiga finally got the guts to say it AND A NEW STORY BEGINS. I'll be very interested in how the episodes in the future will progress their relationship. Also I'm interested in what will happen with Kitamura and Minori(something seems to be clicking between them). Minori was definitely funny in this episode(like always), plenty of gif-worthy material out of her lately lol. Gave this episode a 5/5 because of the serious plot development while keeping it funny and entertaining(though it usually is every episode lol). |

| I agree w/ mcjaxxman about her taiga's crying at the end to be a little over the top. I'm pleased that the show looks like it'll finally zero in more on the ryuuji x taiga relationship, it's about time they realize who's right for them! I absolutely adore Minorin's character in all these episodes, and I wasn't disappointed for this one! It made me laugh to see her method of class napping, I gotta try that some time :p |
