Well, no one started the episode eight topic. I guess it's time for me to finally post something on these forums!

I'm thoroughly enjoying the series. I am confused as to what it is that I am seeing. I have seen plenty of romantic story lines, and I cannot tell if there is something like that going on in DearS. I would very much like to see Takeya get over his anti-alien outlook and perhaps enter some form of tighter relationship with Ren.
I am not sure if that fits well with what is going on, but I sure am a schmuck for romance.

I agree with you.....through 4 episodes I was disgusted by how cold he seemed and his complete mistrust in aliens. I wish they would explain why he feels the way he does as he was acting like a complete jerk for a while. It is nice to see him somewhat getting over this attitude. Based on the way things began that would be my guess as to why this series never got a second season. The series isn't bad in and of itself, it does seem like they tried somewhat mashing Chobits and Heaven's Lost Property together though and is not as good as either of those 2 series. Still, is starting to get enjoyable overall......through first 4 episodes I would have given this a 4 or 5/10 and now I can say it has improved enough for a 6 or 7/10 through 8 episodes. Nice to see the explanation of why Myu is the was she is in this episode as well, and was cool getting a little of an explanation of the DearS slave background in their previous society and the trouble they have adapting to Earth where slavery is a thing of the past and is looked down upon.
