| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Chapter: "HQ's Near Destruction" Those Japanese soldiers are putting up one hell of a fight, but it looks like they are outnumbered and outgunned. Maruyama was fortunate to survive the bombing, but I do not envy him helping the corpsman. Shigeru Mizuki is not shying away from showing the gruesome carnage that is war. I doubt that the Japanese can maintain such a high tempo of combat for long, but the manga still as more chapters to go through so I doubt we’ll see a banzai in the next couple of chapters. |
| The injured men in doc's care were drawn much more realistially than the other characters, which made the sight all the more gruesome |
