As I already wrote in the news section, the creator, Herman van Veen, officially made the news, that a sequel of Alfred J. Kwak will be released next year (In which quarter is still unknown), on the moment they're still preparing stuff etc.

This time things will go around his son, name unknown, a new series will come, and even a movie.

So, let's discuss your expectations. :D

All Dutchies, rise! xD

Would love to see the new show, as it's still great to watch. I'm just wondering: will it be broadcasted here again a well? It may sound stupid, but you never know. I'm more worried about the voices. Let's hope that they'll use the old song again! =D

W00T a sequel?!? I really want to see this :D

I will probably air in the Netherlands; if I'm correct, Herman van Veen is the the writer. The original voice cast of the first season was Dutch too, so it would be weird if it didn't air in the Netherlands..

I'm frankly quite torn in half here.
On the one hand the series will probably be as awesome as the old one, which is by far the best anime aimed at children and is even aired just recently on a german children's tv channel.
On the other hand I'm a bit concerned if they will be able to keep the overall quality of the original.

But, as I said, it probably will be awesome and I'll watch it together with my little sister, whom i got hooked on the original just recently. That is, IF it will air in Germany sometime.

In the meantime, let's ask ourselves why we are so happy today. ;-)

I did some research on the subject and found out the following information:

- Herman van Veen wrote a sequel (book) called 'Vader'. It was released March 2011.
- There was a musical in June 2011 based on this sequel.
- As the book was just published in 2011 there is still hope. However, I can't find anything about when the series will be released or if the production even started.
