I've had a lot of trouble with sleeping patterns until I switched to biphasic sleep. I workout at 4 p.m, I'm usually done by 5~5:30, wait till 6~6:30 and sleep for 80 minutes. At 12~1a.m I get a 4 hours sleep.

Idk how to make myself sleep but days that i've worked hard doing something (sports mainly) I end up getting to sleep a lot easier, so yeah... Go fucking tire yourself out so by night you can sleep.

Meh pills are the only thing that work for me :S no fap works for me just pills or pot but pot is a hassle

But I have a REAL issue with this is not very healthy for people who have no such medical conditions to do so

Sadly most people that take those pills take them for no reason and you really don't want to be psychologically dependent on sleeping pills.... I actually took them when I was younger and It was quite hard to get natural sleep after I got "addicted" to it.

Other options are milk - an hour before you want to sleep, I always listen to philosophy radio podcasts on low volume, for some reason they knock me out (even though I find them really interesting)

A few tips:
- Read a few chapters from a book.
- Don't watch/read/look at any scary stories, books, videos or anything of that sort.
- Realize that the day is over and there is no need to think things through, just shut off.
- Make the bedroom as dark as you're comfortable with, studies show that when you sleep in darkness the brain realizes it's time to rest.

If all else fails:
- Try and imagine a happy scenario in your head, perhaps a dream or fantasy you wish could become reality. Imagine how it would play out, who would be in it, etc. More often than not, just imagining how you wish your dreams could be not only influences them later on during sleep but you'll have so much fun just creating them in your head that you'll not even notice the time and should fall fast asleep.

Read some manga.
Listen to slow melodies.
Don't eat too much before you got to try to sleep, it's hard to sleep with a full stomach.
Take a warm bath, that will relax you a lot.
I have trouble sleeping too and that's what I try to solve my problem.
Ultimately, take some sleep pills. But be careful.

1. Go outside and run for an hour or so, take a warm shower and go to bed. I usually fall asleep right away.
2. Brush your teeth a few hours before you are going to bed.
3. Masturbate.. A friend of mine got the advice from his doctor.

Most important thing is to maintain a sleeping schedule. Example go to bed at 00:00, wake up 06:00 and keep it so your body gets used to it.

Here's a nifty trick I picked up from my local Chemist:

1: Lay down comfortably
2: Count down from 10 to 1 in your head
3: Once you hit 1, imagine an object and keep repeating the name of the object over and over. e.g. "Tree.. Tree.. Tree.."
4: Do this long enough and your body will start to feel heavier, and with any luck you may even feel tired.
