According to Cinema Today, Studio Ghibli has announced two new movies which will be premiered in the summer of 2013 simultaneously. One is "Kaze Tachinu" directed and written by Miyazaki Hayao, and the other is "Kaguya-hime no Monogatari" directed and written by Takahata Isao. Kaze Tachinu official websiteKaguya-hime no Monogatari official website Kaze Tachinu is based on Hori Tatsuo's novel and is about a girl who is suffering from tuberculosis and the real-life engineer Horikoshi Jiro. Kaguya-hime no Monogatari is based on the Japanese old folktale Taketori Monogatari. | It has been 18 years before Miyazaki and Takahata jointly released a movie of his won. It would be interesting to see how the joint release goes this time. Also, Miyazaki's film is set in the background of WWII and is related to the engineer who designed the brilliant Zero Fighter. It would be interesting to see what is Miyazaki's take to portray the historical background. |

Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them? I wonder how long people would put up with this. As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series. |
