I totally forgot what happened in past chapters so I son't get what all that means but whatever. Re-reading will only take a couple of hours. I think the book is probably better hopefully I'll have the chance to read it sometime (unlikely).

Live action. It's looks good, much more fleshed out, especially Noto and (his other friend)'s adventures. Though a lot of parts might be movie original content. (Kind of like NHK's novel to anime).

Read through Chap 5-8 just now. I think I have a bit of a headache after reading 160 pages, but I enjoyed the second half of NHCE. Might watch the movie if I ever get a chance. 7/10

feels a lot like nhk but yeah, this was a bit 'predictable' but not quite from chapter 6 onwards, but well, i guess that was the plan anyways :P

good end nonetheless

I'm glad that it was only 8 chapters... I can't say that I enjoyed it very much, but it was an okay read. The characters and art were a little bit aggrivating though. 6/10.

Did both volums tonight in one go. Whoa! not quite as WTF-ish as NHK, but it was pretty entertaining read. Yeah, last chapter was pretty out-there, but fits in w/ the tone of the rest of the manga. like to see the movie, heard it was out. haven't heard of any subs to it, yet. but what i've seen it looks pretty cool.

Hm, last chapter was pretty good. I liked how the Chainsaw man finally spoke and furthermore the development of Noto was great. I really liked his character. As for Eri and Yamamoto - they're pretty cute together. One thing I'm still a little iffy on is what happened to the Chainsaw man... =\

Amazing sig set thanks to -DraGonZ-

A good work, but my only problem with it was that I correctly predicted the ending and identity of the Chainsaw Man after reading chapter 2.

wow, I loved it. It did leave alot of questions unanswered and was a little "out there". But to me the story is mainly about life and its ups and downs more so than the chainsaw man himself. It's like the chainsaw man was an entity that was all in Eri's mind but was "defeated" after she met her love. This is why I love the mangakas work and why Welcome to the NHK is one of my fav animes of all time. He's actually saying something in his stories but manages to throw a few jokes in as well. 10/10 for me.

so much of it was generic. if the main guy wasn't a loser + cut out of countless other male protagonists this may have been alright.

Hard to follow but heres my two cents. Guessing chainsaw man is a conjuration of both of their grief, inability to deal with death and move on with their life. Hence as the two of them got closer and happier he got weaker and would most likely fade away but as they got sader and drifted apart his image strengthened.

Ties in with both notos and the chainsaw mans(possibly the chainsaw man was noto) words of people eventually die and your separated. Perhaps you have to accept this, deal with it, grieve and then move on.

In the end he finally stood up and did something, finally grieved for his friend, admitted that he loved her(close as they could be) so the chainsaw man was no longer needed and faded away.

Not sure what his friend (noto's) problem was. Either died by suicide or was doing something reckless for the adrenaline rush when feeling down and lost control.

Regards to living expenses, fuck them. Move in with her and get a part time job afterschool. Problem solvered

The bio for the Chainsaw Man in MAL just bluntly states that the Chainsaw Man is the representation of Eri's sadness, so I guess I'll just stick with that theory.

A pretty solid manga. There were moments where I laughed and moments where the romance was great.

7.5/10 rounded to 8/10 for MAL

It had potential, so it's quite a pity that it turned out like this. I liked the more serious parts with Noto, but the MC and the humor was bland. 5/10, I don't regret reading it, but it could have been much, much better.

I'm not a big fan of live action movies so will probably skip on that.

The last chapter was not what I expected. I expected more of a tearful goodbye or an epic showdown. So, the chainsaw dude is still on the loose. Lolwut. The manga had its pace going well though but this finale didn't click well for me as I had thought. 6/10.

I have a feeling the movie might actually be more enjoyable that reading this.

I get the strange sense like i finished Death Panda again or something although with less gore.
The whole thing was just kind of "whatever". I really don't know what to think. It certainly wasn't some great manga.

Great manga, surprised me a lot, a short story but very profound, I also liked the end, the psychological factor was stimulating, art is also very beautiful and I found the characters very charismatics

I think the chainsaw man was not only the manifestation of fear of Eri, but also of Yousuke (that's why he ended up involved), from the time that the two tried to truly overcome their traumas he disappeared, together they were able to leave their past and pursue a future for both ..

I certainly recommend this manga for those who like the genre psychological, action and ecchi ..
