I'm from Malaysia, I experience this issue exactly only when my Dynamic IP changes.

I'm using Firefox, and my OS is Windows Vista x64

I can click on "Stay Logged In", though it seems that the button has no function at all since I can login fine and it won't save my session after I changed IP.

To users experiencing issues with cookies, I have a solution (Chrome only ATM).

1. Clear cookies with CCleaner for all browsers

2. In Chrome, delete EVERYTHING using CTRL+ALT+DEL and selecting "the beginning of time"; This may be overkill, but it worked.

3. Login to MAL without checking "keep logged in" on your first try.

4. Open up your Chrome settings and open "Content Settings" under Privacy, then open "All cookies and site data" and VERIFY that myanimelist.net has ONLY 2 COOKIES.

5. If there are 2 cookies then you can proceed to use MAL normally.

Can anyone give feedback?

I recommend setting a proxy for those in Singapore who cannot log in

1. in Google Chrome -> Settings -> Show Advanced Settings -> Change Proxy Settings
2. LAN Settings -> tick Use Proxy Server for your LAN
3. Address: proxy.singnet.com.sg
Port: 8080

Let me know if it works

Did this only using step 4, foound myanimelist.net on cookies data and deleted them, logged back in with the stay logged in option and restarted Chrome to see if I was logged out as usual, but I wasn't .. I think that fixed it, but can't be too sure yet. If it fails to keep me logged i'll have to wait for the actual fix from MAL (inb4 2014 still no fix) since I have a lot of bookmarks and valuable stuff that I don't want to delete.

EDIT: It did not fix it permanently, after a restart I got back the usual error, it would keep me logged in as long as I didn't turn off my computer.

I'm seriously about to throw my laptop out of the window if I can't get this fixed. Did everything to fix it but it still happens.

I'm from America, specifically in Indiana.

If anyone has a solution for Firefox it would be greatly appreciated.

An update on my semi-working fix for the cookies nuisance.

Manually deleting the MAL cookies on affected browsers actually works, however for safe measure I've also deleted log in data, form history, and saved passwords as this may somehow tie into the issue.

According to Post #585 verify using step #4 on Post #583 and proceed accordingly.

I'm currently trying to find what triggers the message.

Doing the steps of deleting cookies or using CCleaner doesn't do anything. This is really infuriating and I want to use MAL. Is there any news on updating something? I'm slightly close to quitting.

Using proxy server worked for me.

Well... not exactly. I can't even log on without a proxy server. Now it isn't as bad but I still need to re-login after leaving MAL for a while.

Seriously is any of the staff fixing this?

Yeah I know, but at this moment it's better than nothing. I too get logged off after a while and it's a relatively mild annoyance compared to being completely unable to log in
