No surprise the exhibition ended up a failure. Who would expect an 8 year old prototype (with a bad design to boot) to even function properly? But nevertheless its getting pretty good so far.

Reality sucks...

I wanna know if Frau knows something about the reports. Not so much screen for Airi this time.

Whats up with the crowd? Why are they disappointed? Sure its slow, but its a FREAKING GIANT ROBOT. Sure I'd be a bit disappointed, but still, its a giant robot! Made by teenagers! Give them some credit.

If you really want to fit in, just put Legend of the Galactic Heroes in your top 5 and have it be the only 10-rated anime in your list.

poor aki, really sucks to see her dreams get crushed like that :/
after all that excitement and build-up, it was really sad to see her exhibition fail like it did

and then her own sister rubbing salt into the wound... "junk"? what a BITCH!!!

all's well though, just can't wait for them to get to that point at the beginning of the first episode, with an ACTUAL badass gunvarrel/gunpro1

Because of the year they are in? With such advancements in technology during that time, the expectation is obviously pretty high even from high school students.

I found the episode very good personally. Aki finally decided to move on and try to catch up with Misa. But I am sure she is definitely overtaking her sister by the time we are at the end of the anime.

/me looks at the Robot at episode 1 where it all started and then looks at the one shown here and sees tremendous improvement right there!

5/5 for yet another good episode!

This episode was great. I can't stand Aki being sad it makes me sad. This is why I love Kai and how much he cares about her. Aki x Kai and I shall go whatever direction with that ship.

I don't know if Misa is under pressure or something and that's why she said that, I don't have much of a good impression of her anymore. I never really had one, but calling her little sister's hard work for eight years a pile of junk is so ridiculous. Come on.

5/5, great episode.

I felt so bad for Aki-chan this week : (

She's so genki but a character with emotions and dreams. I can relate to her because I look up to my older brother the akin to how she looks up to her older sister. Her face when people looked bored broke my heart. I still wonder though, what's the overarching plot going to be in the second half of this show? I don't think it's going to be a slice of life show and they've only been teasing the Kimijima Kou segments along with Airi so far.

The beginning was good, but overall I didn't like this episode.

I loved Kaito and Frau spending time in her room instead of going to the festival with Aki and the others.

LOL @ Aki freaking out at Nae and her father eating and watching the fireworks together.

Poor Aki had her dream crushed by an obsolete design and an old, rundown diesel engine, while her sister called the robot a piece of junk.

Despite this show not being quite as impressive as I'd like, it always manages to affect me emotionally, and this was an awesome example of that. The exhibition at the end was excruciating to watch. Good stuff.

probably because it is very hard to get KnightHeart or NightHeart on a world wide service like twitter and thus chose something that sound similar for the japanese.

I didn't expect that they would have the robot done by this ep...
But I anticipated that it would be a failure.

The robot is too heavy... I believe they will make modifications on it. We have yet to see the robotics club altogether.

I was hoping we'd see them actually building the robot and not just it suddenly appearing in 2 parts that get joined together and everybody shouts "Gunspro-1 is complete".

So they finally built that giant Gun-Pro1. But, of course, they failed. Well, I was expecting something like that (in the end, they're just teenagers and that giant-robot project is ten years old).
What are they going to do now? Join the JAXA and accept Nae Tennoujin's request?

Yeah, this was a bit sudden, it was a decent ep but I felt things went too fast in the second half. Maybe they should have focused on them actually working on it in second half of this ep and then have the completion happening in the next.

Well technically, the process of building the robot and getting it completed was shown here and there in almost every episode. When Kai was off doing things with the Kimijima Kou report, Aki was always working on the robot, trying to get funds from that big dude with the white tux (can't remember his name lol) and getting parts from the old dude from the shop. The anime just didn't completely focus on it. But seeing as this robot was predetermined to fail anyways, we'll probably see more of the building process for the next robot!

Its so sad seeing Aki not her usual spirited, optimistic self. I really don't know what to think of her sister at this point, I want to say "of course she has a reason" but for now Misa is on my bad side.

The only thing interesting so far is the first episode where it reveals them starting up the actual gunvarrel and save the world from ? solar flares ?

That sister is know officially a b*tch in my book! She calls the biggest step in her dream a piece of junk!? People live, and evolve from failures, and this maybe one of the failures, and sure it didn't follow your original plans, but still it should at least make you heart explode with joy! No kidding.
