| Hard to be scared by anime I have seen Higurashi and Ghost Hunt and all that and i believe Shiki is the closest anime in actually causing some fear. |

| Marathon Sword Art Online/Guilty Crown and count the plotholes. Unfortunately, the Japanese have a different understanding than horror. It seems to me that they put a stronger emphasis on the classic mysterious plot without explanations that was popular during ealier phases of European literature..only that it is mostly bad because honestly: Higurashi, Another, etc. wre only atmospheric, but not really scary. Maybe Shiki is worth trying out. |

| It's not an anime...yet, it's been announced that it'll be adapted into one... but Aku no Hana. It's not really horror, but I've never had such a constant feeling of uneasiness while reading a manga. Everything about it is crazy. Simply, apeshit crazy. Detestable characters, ridiculous plot and a bizarre love triangle. Truly horrific. |
