New OP song! I like it!

I smell jealousy this episode especially when a "date" is announced. Dat tsundere Yui. This episode was also violent though imo, actually quite violent. I felt sorry for the little girl crying out to her mama during the chaos.

This episode was a massacre as the shit goes down. Wow, I'm starting to think that some of the killers are worse than the BETA themselves. That scene involving Yui on the road being targeted by a bazooka was also exciting to watch. This episode sure picked up its pace imo. Damn, this episode..wow, Natalie and the violence.

OnoD's character, China girl, and that dark skinned little girl was outside (with the name of date of OnoD's character and China girl), but because of disconnection, they came back. Bartender girl is acting out the rebel action for improving the world by killing the teams. She and another woman also brought people inside. Bartender girl got killed for talking too much, though. Hime girl was in the building but was able to get out and met that older twin outside.

Damn, this was freaking crazy, you know an anime is good when someone dies and you care, Im pretty pissed that Natalie was killed but I've been bracing myself for people dying ever since that recap episode where they said that the show was about to reach its climax.

Not sure why but the human vs human deaths are much worse than human vs BETA deaths, not in terms of gore but emotionally.

Alright the world is almost wiped out by a alien invaders and there still people killing each other because of wrong treatment just how fucked up can this world get.
Why would you place people in a refugee camp while you basically need anyone you can get since you got a common enemy it's no wonder they would rebel at some point if you let them starve in such camps.
Then there is also the question to why you would let civilians come in to a military base without checking them or anyone guarding them.
And why was no one suspicious of those orange vans i noticed then in episode 18 and 19 as well and thought they where of from the start.

The people invading the place where also a bit strange why would you destroy military equipment when your race is nearly wiped out would it not be better to steal it and use it as your own.
Would give you a more powerful position over the ones your rebelling with as well since you got there technology.
And there is also the fact that they shot there own people which would only create distrust in there ranks.

While the motivations for the rebels aren't clear at all, (and downright nonsensical given the BETA's threat), and barring the fact that we don't even hear about rebels until this episode....

I can still say, SHIT went DOWN hard. And to be honest, I stopped watching Muv Luv for coherent plot a long time ago.

This kind of intense action. Now there's where its at.

WTF happened to this anime?

The world is being invaded by BETA, no solution to that problem is in sight, yet they chose to go the route of some dissatisfied rebel group whose name was only mentioned in this episode? WTF! So all of a sudden, its now humans vs humans? Where are the TSFs? Lemme guess it from now, TSF vs TSF...

What kinda security do they have for a development base where top secret research is being carried out? So all these rebels just drove into the base carrying all these weapons like nothing.

Natalie being part of the rebel faction...., getting headshotted for 'talking too much'!....., no seriously? Why the flying fuck was this whole rebel thing chosen to be the final plot of this anime? And apparently all these rebel members are highly skilled, headshots all around for everyone.

After this episode, i have lost all zeal to look forward to any more episodes of ML..., its already 20 episodes in and just 4 more to go..., dropping it at this point would be dumb. I foresee lots of the main cast being killed, lots of screaming their names to the universe after they get killed and then basically some totally unsatisfying ending that will make me facepalm. Muv-Luv, i ask you; why did you become this?

Actually, a japanese base are experminenting on BETA, and If im not mistaken, even american do. And I dunno whats supposed to be wrong about this, information on youre enemy is what wins wars.

Its good to see some more action, hopefully some Anti-TSF combat next episode.

EDIT: Also, some people still dont get that this anime is nothing more than a trailer for the upcomoing Visual Novel, so it aint sure not havin Human vs BETA fights. Though I am still sad about that fact, it isnt like this is the only fight between humans. Too bad there are some F22A on the base... They dont stand a chance against that monster.

So their response to starvation is to attack the forward research and development military base and slaughtering thousands of soldiers and civilians. Destroying precious and expensive combat equipment used to fight the good fight. Plus their crews and pilots. Please explain to me how this isn't detrimental to the human race.

Of course refugees are treated poorly. They flee their country and enter another with no money and few belongings with millions of their kind and start devouring the resources of that country. While the settled residents now have to put up with it. With less arable land to go around and such, they can't feed everyone. The people with money will get food. It's a time where the strong need to survive and the weak will have to perish, or become strong.

Well, that was both a great and depressing episode. The episode starts off with Yuuya and his team creating a plan against the Infinities. Cui comes in and suggests a mock battle since the Bao-Feng fought with the Infinities and has little information on their attack patterns and such. In order for the Bao-Feng to participate, Yuuya has to go on a date with Cui. As Yui goes to tell Ibrahim about the mock battle, Cryska asks her to allow her to meet Yuuya. As Cryska was about to leave, she ponders on how Yui calls Yuuya by his first name. It goes onto the place where there's a team that deals with people, then that African? girl and civilians comes in and kills everyone but the girl. It goes off to when Yuuya sneezes in the car, driving both Cui and Tarisa to Lilifort. Cui helps Yuuya blows his nose and Tarisa complains to Giacosa on the phone. Then as Yui goes make the call, the RLF invades and cuts off the communication lines. No one has service and the doors starts going on lock down mode. Yui manages to escape, but not before a massacre starts in the room. She escapes with a child and manages to get away safely. As Yuuya continues driving, their communication gets cut off and as they passed by some trucks, they spot Natalie so they turn around and follow. It goes back to the pass where the driver for Yui gets shot and killed. She continues to try to escape but a missile hits the ground near her and the car flips over. She gets injured and hides in an alley, only to be found by Cryska. We go back to Yuuya and his girlfriends, where they were spotted by the enemy and their car gets shot. Natalie comes out of her truck and Tarisa asks why she was doing it. Natalie starts talking about how the refugees, the lower class and basically, all the poor people are being treated unfairly. They're not getting as much food and daily needs as the other people are. She then tries to convince Tarisa to join her. We get a hint of what happened to Tarisa's family and how her siblings were killed. Natalie then continues to talk about the bases they had invaded and what they were planning to do next. As she was about to talk about the secret American plan, she was killed. Yuuya immediately blows up the car and escapes with Cui and Tarisa, while Tarisa cries over the death of her friend. Great development in this story and great twist. I'm guessing the RLF are creating a revolution because of how they were treated. They were probably looked down upon and as Natalie said, the UN were choosing over who shall be left alive and who shall be dead. This is showing how the UN are treating the people of its world. The poor and lower class are treated merely as trash. I can see why they were creating a revolution... Well, the episode preview tells us that Inia is going towards the Su-37UB Terminator and Yui going towards the Takemikazuchi Type-00F. I'm interested in what's going to go on next... From what I've seen, I think the 36 TSFs (not sure if they counted the ones the Eishi's are using or the patrol and prototype ones) were hacked into slave mode. Well, the next episode is going to be interesting. If their TSFs weren't hacked, I wonder what they're going to do with them... Maybe try to reason with the RLF? Well, we'll have to find out next week.

The new OP and ED are fucking EPIC!! Can't wait until the full version comes out!

This show is kinda going downhill... I find it incredibly stupid how the humans are fighting against each other when the Betas are still lurking out there. You'd think they would normally cooperate at a time like this, instead of fighting among themselves like morons. It's completely illogical, not to mention unrealistic.

Why do I have the feeling that those four characters on the ending will be the ones surviving at the end of this series?

I guess people get dumb when they are starving to death and even more dumb are the UN for having the unfair treatment. Taking out and killing the military, eishi pilots and destroying the TSF, those dumbasses will regret that if BETA suddenly came out of nowhere and attack them. The RLF can fight they're fellow humans, but can't do shit against BETA.

those dumb RLF don't know how PTSD inducing those monstrosities are, they're much, much more vicious and ferocious than humans. They're population are already so small, and yet internal conflict breaks out.

The UN are also to blame, if they have their heads, they can recruit those refugees to become eishi pilots so they can be of use.

Waiting for the next episode is frustrating. I'll just wait for the series to complete and watch the last four episodes in one shot.

One statement to say it all

I mean , first of all , the Argos Test Flight briefing for the match against Infinities.
Then Cui came inside the room and was like "We can have a match with you how to see the battle against Infinities" but under one condition , Cui has to go out on a date with Yuuya for the whole day.OMG

Then Yui was like walking alone all dere dere...so cute , then Cryska mysteriously from nowhere asked Yui about Yuuya's whereabouts.

Good episode , really looking forward for the next episode.

sigh* this is why humans can't win against an alien invasion because they are too busy fighting each other

but beside that point, we finally get some action and progression, things finally got real! everyone is getting slaughtered out there and the teams are split in 2

i notice they didn't show what the infinity team are up to in this situation (probably some black ops style stealth to the hangar)

Somehow I think, rather then focusing on the BETA, this story is more about the humans fighting each other, and Yuuya's final battle is gonna be up against the Terrorist leader maybe. Notice the new ending where 2 TSFs are facing each other in battle, one White (Yuuya's) and one black one with some weird voodoo aura!

let's hope everyone else is fine in the next episode where we'll hopefully see Yui in action in her own TSF, since the preview mentioned she heading to the Royal Guard hangar.

The writers pretty much pulled this out of their ass, but this is the best episode since the first one. The RLF have a right to be angry, but not much can be done when BETA take over the world. They just want to lash out at anything. Natalie's sacrifice is awesome.

This should've happened somewhere in the middle of the season, right after the whole gun stealing fiasco. Then the ending should've been about joining together and wiping the rest of the Beta. But instead we get the human struggle at the end, leaving the Beta fight 'To Be Continued...'.

Ah well. At least what they did means all the money they saved from crappy animation can be pooled into these last 4 episodes. They should've just made this a 12 episode run and do all the fan service for OVAs; it could've easily been an 8/10 anime.

Can somebody say for sure what number episode this is Iv heard it both ways. Well I'll just comment here for now. New op is good but the first one was easily just as good. Darkest episode in a while. The rebels or whatever they call themselves are stupid because if they kill all the pilots who the hell is going to defend them. Though you could see where they are coming from they are going about it the wrong way. Next episode is going to be action packed, hopefully Yuuya get in on the action.

Finally. It looks like this anime has finally gotten good when there are like 5 episodes left. Perhaps my excruciating wait wasn't that bad.

Surprised that someone seemingly unimportant like Natalie turned out important and suddenly died. Then again, Muv-Luv likes doing that.

Glad to see some internal strife between humans. Unlike MLA showing the noble side of humanity, TE shows the darker side. I never even thought about the rage the refugees must feel at both the authorities. Very good, age.

I wonder how many main characters are going to live by the end?

Alright Total Eclipse, you got me. You started out as a Mech vs Alien show, then you turned into a harem show featuring mechs, and finally you have shifted into a show with a "social message." I get it. Its cool. I have enjoyed you throughout the run. However, let me speak these words of warning. If you don't tell me who Yuuya definatively ends up with and/or kill off a love interest... I will punch somebody. It may not even be someone associated with the show. It may just be a random janitor going about his janitorial duties. But I will hit him, and I will film it, and I will upload it to Youtube.

I'm welcoming all the killing, all that harem stuff made me bored out of my mind, that I'd skip ahead. I don't mind some crushes or romance going on but sheesh its too much, I did not expect any of that from an alien/mecha anime!!

But fuck! Come on, humans couldn't get even worse. Aliens attacking our planet, eating our people, eating basically everything. And thus other humans feel the need to go kill humans that are building things to kill the damn things that are killing them. Siggh.

Different strokes for different foljs. I personally loved the comedy/ecchi vibe we had, not only because I like that sort of stuff, but because it really brings home the feeling of shit getting real. All the laughs and giggles are over, and now we just might see the same people we started to like get their head blown off. Seeing nothing but war and despair gets boring for a while, I like how they mixed it up, made you think nothing was gonna happen, and now we're at the point we don't even know if all 3 main characters will live.

Well she was one of the favorable supporting characters , she had a tough past , now shes rebuilding it as being a bartender. Then took the turn that she would team up with the terrorist and try to avenge her past since that she thinks the UN is to be blamed that they only supplied the aid to only the soldiers and staffs and not the Eurasia refugees.

First off, from a plot/narrative standpoint, this is terrible. I was aware and bracing, but it still took quite the incompetence in writing (for any medium) to not at least have some foreshadowing about the existance of the group beforehand. Anyone pissed by it suddenly taking over an entire military base the same episode its existence is disclosed to the viewer is fully justified.

I won't complain about the existence of the group because, frankly, given what I know of human nature, I can totally see it. Besides, it's not altogether different from the SRW: OG games/series. Too many people just can't give up their hate.

That complete C-F aside, it was a fairly interesting episode, and the graphic level of violence coming out of nowhere was not altogether a bad thing. I just wish there was more backstory aside.
