BTOOOM!
| I thought I could give it a shot (I like survival game anime), but I have my doubts because the trailer didn't convince me and people often say it's just another mediocre (more like average?) Gantz/Battle Royale rip-off. Is it worth watching? |

It's kinda like Mirai Nikki if you ask me, but not as complex, much more straight forward & less epic Decent action scenes, people getting their limbs blown off, people going insane, insane people, what's not to like about it? The storyline is straight forward as well and nothing really to write home about, but the entertainment value is pretty high though; watching people get their limbs blown off and all :P It certainly is average but I don't like the word mediocre because it carries a negative connotation. It's a "good" average if that makes any sense at all >_> It's a 7.5-8 imo. |

| Most people here seems to think its average, I find it to be one of my favorite of the season and an interesting series, though I haven't watched many survival type anime/films so it's more original for me than the average person. |
| It's not bad so far although not my highlight of the Fall Season. Judging by the preview of the latest episode, the next one should be a good one. I might also give the manga a shot in the future. |

| It's not really like mirai nikki, it's more like battle royale. First episode was really really bad but it's ok after it. Unlike battle royale it focuses most of time in the two main characters instead of everyone on the island. |
| Have you watched SAO? its like SAO but more set in the real world instead of a virtual one. Manga is better than the anime but not by a long shot. So far there hasnt been a rush in story telling. A survival story such as, Battle Royale or Eden no ori ( manga) It has unique points such as using bombs and is a death game copied from a video game. The characters are lovable and realistic. When i mean realistic it means real. Like how they would react in that situation is totally how a human would. I myself, would recommend you watching it not to kill time but to enjoy. So far it has a solid 8 rating under my belt. The only flaw is that death are too quick but its expected from a 12 ep anime. Final Answer: Yes. |

They're two different anime. Only thing that connects them is the survival aspect. |

| It's similar to SAO, Mirai Nikki and Battle Royale. Both in SAO and in Btooom! protagonists play the game in reality, right? Actually, I would say it's like Mirai Nikki without mindfucking. But if you look at it, it's just Battle Royale with different characters. Still kicks ass, though. I like it better than SAO for now. |

| I think it´s one of the best sci-fi thriller animes out there. The setting is quite simple but very effectice in catching one´s attention. The idea of realizing a video game that requires you to kill others in order to win isn´t new, but the anime manages to not make you feel like you´ve seen the same thing dozens of times before. It keeps a fresh spin on things like trust, cooperation and the concept of the "survival of the fittest". The story has tension, action and just the right amount of romance a good anime needs. The characters are epic, all of them with their own unique presence. The encounters between those are spectacular. Besides, despite her voice ( she lacks authenticity when screaming) Himiko is plenty sexy :> Pretty recommendable if you ask me, I can´t wait for a sequel ~~ |
