The answer to your question calls for a mass psychological analysis and a study of the individual's personal and cultural patterns of choice and preference including not only quantitative , but qualitative factors as well. Everyone has his own perception of aesthetics. No matter what his degree of intelligence is. Those who lack intelligence tend to be affected by the mainstream phenomenons and get engaged or attracted to them only because others are. Of course , trusting their judgement is an action of foolishness , that's why : " Everyone must be entitled to his own opinion. " |

| I think One piece deserves it's popularity it's really stands out in the crown among shounens.The only one I can say is almost as good is hunter x hunter |

Bad characters, the romance is forced and just plain out bad. So why is SAO worthy of a 9? A 9 implies its among the top 20% of anime.
